Mike・The Return

Summary: You moved out of Hawkins 3 years ago and Mike is your best friend so you decide to go for a visit.

- The whole imagine will be in Mike's POV

Mike POV

It's been a year since summer break, meaning we've been through school for a year.

Me, Lucas, Will and Dustin we all have Science class together with Mr. Clarke. I like science but today's class isn't exciting at all. 

We're all sitting on separate desks but we are sitting in the same circle. I take a quick glance at the AV club, as I was facing back to the front my eyes caught on a specific desk, that desk that she sat on, that desk that she had her small book that she'd always doodle on, making Mr. Clarke mad at her for doodling during class, I chuckle to myself.

But now she's not here anymore, she left her desk empty and my heart with a hole. 

It was y/n. she's the girl I was thinking of, she's my best friend, she's the closest member to me from the AV club. I loved her so much that at some point I was developing feelings for her.

Until the last day of summer break she said she had to move out from Hawkins to California for her dad's work. In that day I felt depressed, I didn't know what I'll be doing in my life anymore.

Flashback 

"Mike?" her soft voice said.

"Yes?" I turn around and see her standing there looking all pretty, but that pretty smile on her face wasn't there, I got worried, "Is everything alright?" I ask.

"Well, yeah, but I hate saying this and I wish I didn't have to...." y/n pauses her voice cracks and her eyes became glossy.

"Y/n what's wrong?" I ask worriedly putting a hand on her shoulder, tears start to fall down her eyes, I pull her into a warm hug comforting her.

"My family... and I... we're moving out... of... Hawkins to... California." She says between sobs.

I felt my heart drop, I pull back from the hug, "You're moving out why?!" I ask holding back the tears that are threatening to fall down.

"My dad found better work in California and he said we had to move." I bring her back to a warm embrace and kiss her forehead, letting all of my tears go away.

"I don't want to leave, Mike." She holds me tighter.

"Me too." 

"When are you leaving?" I ask looking into her now red puffy eyes.

"Tomorrow evening." 

My heart sinks even more, but I shouldn't show it or things will get worse.

"It's ok, I'll see tomorrow and we'll play with the AV club, d&d and have fun before you go, and I will call you everyday." I say softly trying to make things better.

"Thank you Mike, thank you for everything, and I'll make sure we'll come for a visit." She says sending me a soft smile. I smile back and give her a kiss on the forehead.

End of Flashback

Our memories together flooded my head, I felt like crying but I had to hold my tears in-

"Michael Wheeler!" I heard Mr. Clarke yell, my head darted to the front. 

"What did we say about zoning out to outer space?" He asks crossing his arms.

"I'm sorry Mr. Clarke." I say looking down, feeling all the eyes of the class towards me.

"It's alright Michael, just focus with me." He says and I nod.

Half way through the class and I just can't stop thinking of y/n I miss her A LOT! It hurts.

I look at the school halls through the classroom door still sitting in my seat, resting my head on my hand.

I look at the floor of the hallway and see two shadow figures walking, one is tall the other is short. I heard the mumbling of those two people and there was a very oddly familiar feminine voice and a deep male voice, I just sigh.

I see them walking past our classroom and my eyes go very wide,

Y/n?

No way that could be y/n!?

I see them turn back but this time it was just the short shadow, I see it coming back to our class standing at the side coming closer and closer, and I finally see who it was and they see me...

My legs starts shaking up and down, my eyes focused on y/n, my smiler wider than ever, and the tears I've been holding were about to fall out of my eyes.

I raised my hand, "Uhh, Mr. Clarke can I please go to the bathroom?" I say a little to enthusiastically. The AV club was looking at me confusedly and I mouthed to the 'Y/n is here!" but they didn't understand.

"Sure Michael, what's the rush fo-" 

"Thank you Mr. Clarke." I say quickly cutting Mr. Clarke's sentence standing up and sprinting to the classroom door.

I saw her standing there looking gorgeous as ever!

"Y/N!!" I yell and run towards her.

"MIKE!" She says opening her arms running towards me too.

We finally connect and I hug her very tightly making us fall on the floor. She hugged tightly back.

I was above her and she was under me, but I didn't care as long as y/n's in my arms.

"I missed you SOOO much! It's been a whole YEAR!" I say letting all my tears fall freely.

"I missed you too Mike!" y/n says not letting go of me, squeezing me harder and rocking our hug back and forth.

We chuckle and look at each other's eyes.

I hear rapid running footsteps coming towards us. I look behind me and saw the rest of the AV club, Will, Dustin and Lucas, their eyes go wide after they saw who I was on top, hugging tightly.

"OH MY GOD Y/N!" They all say running towards our warm hug zone embracing her tightly.

"We missed you!" I heard Will say.

"It's been a longgg time!" Lucas and Dustin say.

I joined their group hug and we were all on the floor just in warm hug.

I hear sobbing and it was y/n's crying, we pull away, "Why are you crying?" I ask letting out happy tears and chuckle.

"I miss you guys SOOO MUCH!" She says pulling us into another hug and we laugh.

Ughh it feels so good for y/n to be back here again, I feel like my home is back.

We stayed in our group hug position on the floor.

I can't believe this is happening! Y/n is here!

I feel my heart pumping and it just feels great that Y/n's back here in Hawkins with us, me and the AV club.
