Being an executive of Aogiri, you have a lot of freedom and advantages.

One advantage would be being able to admire Eto from up close since you have a higher status.

Even before you joined Aogiri you deeply admired her for being such a hard worker. And now, you actually have a reason to able to be close to her.

During small meetings between higher ups, your heart would almost beat out of your chest anytime she complimented your ideas. And being surrounded by ghouls with excellent hearing, you'd always have to explain why your heart was beating so fast without letting out the fact that it was all Eto's fault.

Currently you and Eto are walking through the streets at 11:00PM to find a 'good' source of food for everyone back at the base. She seems a bit too quiet ever since you two left, almost like she's in deep thought since that's something she'd do. Usually she'd ramble on and on to you about her day and what she saw.

You decide to break the strange silence after a while since it was beginning to get uncomfortable.

"What exactly are we looking for, Eto?" you ask.

She shakes her head and looks at you. "We need human meat. Specifically good human meat."

You turn your head to look at her and end up catching her eye. Your eyes widen and you quickly look back down at the street. "What human would be roaming around at 11 PM? People are usually sleep at this hour," you say.

She stops in her tracks and turns to stand in front of you. "It's always the teenagers, love."

Her close proximity and the word 'love' alone almost makes you faint on the spot. Who knew that only one person could do this to you?

"And besides, I've seen you before on these exact streets at this exact time," she continues, getting back into her original position.

After a while, you break the silence. "Isn't that when you picked me to be in Aogiri?" you ask her. She's being quiet again. She only nods and continues walking before coming to an abrupt stop and putting her arm out in front of you.

"I hear someone coming.." she whispers.

'Yeah, it's probably me if you keep whispering like that.'

She pushes the both of you to a dark corner and puts her finger in front of your mouth to hush you. Dammit Eto. But after a while she removes her finger and lays it on top of her lap. Dammit Eto again.

You were in deep thought but got taken out of it when you hear and feel her heavy breathing near your cheek. Your eyes widen and you turn your head to see Eto's glistening eyes already looking at you.

"Has anyone told you that you're pretty cute, (L/N)?" she whispers, face getting closer to yours throughout time.

"I-I mean well-" she covers your mouth with her hand to shush you, all while staring into your wide eyes. "Be quiet, (L/N)."

She presses her lips to where yours would be if she didn't cover your mouth and closes her eyes. When she pulls away she has a content smile on her face and turns around to face forward.

What in the world just happened? Actually no, that thought doesn't matter. It's either now or never.

You turn her head towards you by her chin with your index and thumb and press your lips against hers without giving her time to say anything. She opens her mouth slightly but quickly pulls away and looks at you with a small blush brushing against her face. "We're still looking for human meat, remember? Maybe another time?"

You look at her with a blank face before smiling and nodding, turning forward again with a stupid big smile.

You still don't know what happened, but you kissed Eto, so that's all that matters.
