Chapter 21

Before the car had even stopped, I was out and running up the porch steps. I slammed open the door before yelling,

"I'm back bitches!"

Feet thundered down the stairs and I was met with the sight of Melissa and Mikey. Both of them had crinkled clothes and messy hair.

"Dude, if you fucked my best friend you could at least make an effort to make it less obvious!" I shouted at Mikey. A smirk creeping onto my lips.

Melissa was the first to tackle me into a bear hug.

"Oh My Goddess! Where were you? We were so worried!" She screeched in my ear.

"Yeah, it obviously looks like it." Sarcasm laced through my voice as Melissa blushed, which made her look like a tomato.

"Alright! Stop traumatising my mate and come and give your big brother a hug! I've missed you so much. You wouldn't believe how many times I thought I'd never see you again." His voice had dropped to a whisper on the last sentence. Walking towards him, I outstretched my arms waiting for him to walk into them. He did so, with no hesitation.

"Where are Mom and Dad?" I asked.

Mikey cursed under his breath before muttering something about 'forgetting' and 'mindliking'.

I let out a small giggle, knowing that Mikey had forgotten to tell our parents I was back. Mikey glared playfully when he heard me giggle.

Hearing the front door slam, I jumped about a foot in the air and let out a squeak along with both Mikey and Melissa.

Me and Melissa looked at each other before bursting out laughing at Mikey squealing. He glared at us before walking down the corridor to see who'd slammed the door.

Soon enough my mother and father were barreling through the door to tackle me into a hug.

"Oh my baby! Did they treat you right? Did they hurt you pr try anything? AND WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU FOUND YOUR MATE?!" My mom practically screamed in my ear whilst squeezing the hell out of me.

"Louise, let the poor girl go. She can't breathe." My dad, always the voice of reason, said laying a hand on my moms shoulder.

"I'm sorry dear I was just so worried about her. She is my baby girl after all." Mom was now whining like a teenage girl and pouting at my dad.

I looked over to Mikey to see him fake gagging. Melissa saw this and slapped him across the chest. To be honest I was slightly jealous of Mikey and Melissa, as well as my mom and dad.

I was actually starting to miss Damien although I know I shouldn't after what he did to me in the car. Ugh! Stupid mating bond!

"Yo, earth to Lucia! Don't space out on us. Hellooo?" Mikey stood there waving his hand over my face. I swatted his hand away before apologising to them.

"So, why didn't you tell us you had a mate? Because I want grandbabies missy! That goes for you too Mikey." My mom said pointing over her shoulder at Mikey without looking at him.

My face turned bright red and I saw Mikeys cheeks go pink too.

"MOM! I'm not going to do the dirty with my mate-" I started.

"Damn straight you're not!" My dad stated firmly. "I swear if that boy touches you without my permission, I will personally rip him limb from limb and ram my foot so far up his ass he won't be able to shit for years."

"And he yells at me for swearing." I heard Mikey mutter making me smile slightly.

Mom slapped Dad over the head before diving into a lecture about how not to swear in front of 'our kids'. To be completely honest it was quite funny.

For the second time today the front door slammed open and Simeon came barreling into the room. That someone was my mate, Damien.

"Rouges.... northern border.... around twenty of them." He panted.

It was obvious he'd run from the border and maybe even tried to stop the rouges from the claw shaped marks running along his naked back and stomach. Lucky for me, he had managed to put on a pair of basketball shorts so I wouldn't have to see, you know.... that.

My dad swore before turning to Mikey and nodding before they both turned and ran out the door, Damien following close behind.

"Who was that?" Melissa asked.

"Unfortunately, that's my mate. Alpha Damien."

I am so sorry I didn't update last week! And I'm so sorry this update is so late. I have literally had so much homework for the start of the new school year it's unreal and I've been I'll these past few days so that doesn't help.

Anywhore, I had to do the ALS ice water challenge today and it was not fun especially not after being ill. But I did it for charity so I feel good now!
