"Lucia Mae White!" my mother shrieked as I walked through the door. "Where the hell have you been?"

'She looks angry and nothing is good when she's angry' Said my wolf

'Oh so now you show up huh? What happened when Danny was mad huh?' I didn't hear her reply after that so I assumed she'd cut the link again.

"I'm sorry mom. I got detention for talking back to a teacher." My mother let out a sigh and walked back into the kitchen to tend to whatever she was cooking for dinner.

"Lucia just because you're the Beta's daughter does not mean you can go and do whatever you like." She scolded me as she walked towards my dads office. He spends most days in his office if he isn't called out by the alpha. Mikey, my older brother, spends most of his time with dad, since he's the next in line for the Beta position.

"I know mom, I know." I replied slowly as my dad and Mikey walked in the room.

"Hey little sis' getting into trouble again?" Mikey asked giving me a sly wink. Mom spotted it, hit Mikey upside the head and glared at him.

"Just because you were a rebel kid does not mean you can egg your sister on!" she exclaimed as Mikey groaned rubbing the back of his head. I let out a little giggle earning myself a glare from Mikey.

"Jesus woman, you hit hard." He complained.

"You should see her in bed son, she is fei-sty!" I let out a squeal and covered my ears as mom went bright red. Dad pulled her onto his lap and kissed her passionately.

"Ugh, it's just wrong when old people make out!" Mikey exclaimed. This time both mom and dad smacked him upside the head. I couldn't contain my laughter; I ended up laughing so much I actually fell off my chair, banging my head on the table in the process.

"Oooww!" I groaned as I sat back up. Mom rushed to my side checking if I'd hurt myself any further. She was fussing over me so I pushed her off.

"Mom stop it I'm fine -whoa..." I went to stand up as a dizzy feeling over took my body.

"Just take it slow Lucia. You'll be fine." my dad said helping me up.

"Oh that reminds me, Ben, Melissa, Chloe an me are going out tonight we should be back around 2." I explained.

Mom and dad were okay with me going to parties because they were always scared I was going to be an anti-social teenager with having an overprotective brother and all.

"Really mom? Dad? your going to let her?" Mikey asked. He really hated me going to parties, he always assumed I'd get smashed and then sleep with someone I didn't know. Truth is I've never wanted to get drunk so I only drink very weak portions of alcohol but I have had my drinks spiked a few times.

"I'm going Mikey and that's final!" I snapped.

Grabbing a plate I scooped the Mac 'n' Cheese mom had made earlier onto it and took it up to my room. I got out my homework trying to complete it before Melissa and Chloe came to help me prepare for the party.

Just as I finished my homework the doorbell rang that must be them.

Time to get ready for the party!
