Taehyung put the last of the decorations on before jumping and clapping. "Yay!" He chuckled as he looked at Jungkook who had a bunch of glitter on him from most of the decorations. "This is going to be hell to clean after Christmas you know that?" Jungkook looked at Taehyung who chuckled a bit more. "Oops? But but, your house looks Christmasy thanks to who? You're welcome."
"Oh? And who bought the decorations huh?" Jungkook walked closer and Taehyung put a pillow between them. "Stop what you're doing." He huffed and Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "What am I doing Taehyung?" Jungkook asked with a smile. Taehyung pushed the pillow onto Jungkook. "Stop Jungkook, I mean it." Taehyung sat on the couch and just then, Keeya walked in.
Taehyung looked at the two who were looking at each other. The boy scrunched up his nose before watching Keeya look down. "Keeya?" Jungkook asked and Keeya started to cry. Taehyung's eyes widened as he got up and excused himself, making his way to his room he was staying in. Not wanting to be a bystander in that conversation.
Keeya looked up at Jungkook and Jungkook walked over, hugging the female. "It's okay. I know you're stressing. Everything will be okay." He assured the female. Keeya hugged Jungkook and choked out a sob. "I love you.. and I'm scared of losing you.. I know we're getting married but I feel like i'm losing you and I don't want a divorce I want.. Jungkook.. is this going to work?" She sniffled.
Jungkook should have said no. He should have told her she had fallen for a male but he couldn't and that made him the worst for dragging it on longer. He had an out right here but yet he couldn't take it. "Me and you? Are forever. In a year we'll have kids and we'll he happy. Okay?" Jungkook kissed Keeya's forehead. Keeya smiled before nodding and hugging Jungkook who did the same before she chuckled, sniffling. "You two did a good job." She hummed while looking around. Though Jungkook gulped.
As for Taehyung, he stood by the door and moved away once he heard everything he needed the hear. The boy sat on the bed and sighed. What was he thinking? Taehyung shook his head. He really needed to find a place before this wedding. Though the heartache he felt was not for Jimin this time but because of Jungkook... and it hurt too much.
In the end, Taehyung ended up decorating the tree while Jungkook and Keeya were in the room talking.. or something else he didn't really want to know so he had music playing. Taehyung so far loved how the tree was coming out and soon enough he saw Jungkook coming over to help while Keeya was walking out the door.
Taehyung took off the earbud and looked at Jungkook with a questionable look. "She's going to go talk with her mom." Jungkook spoke, looking at the tree and Taehyung nodded. "Oh.." is the only thing he said as he carried on with the tree. Eventually the tree was finished and the two stood back, admiring the tree.
"You're good at this decorating shit huh." Jungkook looked at Taehyung who nodded. "I loved decorating.. I always got paid to do the neighbours decorations." He hummed and sat back on the couch. Jungkook nodded before sitting back as well.
It was silent between the two before Taehyung opened his mouth. "What happened to your parents?" He suddenly asked and Jungkook opened his eyes slowly, looking over at Taehyung who blinked. The question triggered Jungkook but he forced a laugh and shook his head. "Thats not your concern or actually none of your damn business Taehyung." he said in a mean tone but Jungkook didn't mean for it to come out like that. He was just.. so used to telling people to mind their own business when it came to his parents.
Taehyung opened his mouth before he nodded. It was silent again before Taehyung got up and made his way to the room he was staying in. The male shut the door and hit his own arm. "I need to leave.." Taehyung sighed as he sat on his bed. This was too much for Taehyung to handle and not to mention he literally just got out of the hospital. Just then though, the lights flickered and the power went out. Taehyung was quick to stand up and hurry to the corner. Being in the corner made him feel safe oddly.
It was pitch black and he had no phone so he was rather scared. Before he knew it the door was opening it and he screamed. Jungkook grabbed the boy and held him. "Calm down, it's me." He spoke and Taehyung immediately calmed and soon pushed Jungkook off. "I-I'm fine." He sat on the bed and pulled the blanket over himself. That scream was honestly embarrassing.
Jungkook sighed before leaving the room and going to check the panels and such before he looked outside to see that the other lights were out. He then walked back to Taehyung's room with his phone light and looked at Taehyung who was in the corner again. "You're fine, right?" He tilted his head.
"Shut up.." Taehyung mumbled and clung to Jungkook afterwards. The two sat on the bed. "The power should be on in a couple minutes." Jungkook spoke. Taehyung only hummed before Jungkook sighed. A few minutes of silence and Jungkook feeling guilty, he spoke. "I was nine.. we were on our way to get a Christmas tree at Jinhee's because I begged them when they specifically told me we'd go the next day.. but I begged and begged.."
Taehyung turned to Jungkook and listened to the male. "There was a snowstorm and I pissed off my mom because she didn't want to go but my dad did.. so they argued half the way there.. then I remember my mom yelling at me.. my dad yelling at my mom and for a second it went quiet before.. before everything just started rolling."
Taehyung's eyes widened at what he heard. "My dad hit black ice and then we hit the ditch but not before rolling several times. My mom died instantly.. because she didn't have her seatbelt on because she was helping me with mine.. and my dad didn't have proper care from the paramedics." Jungkook just kept going, looking into the blackness.
"They died before they got to the hospital and when I woke up, I was an orphan. I had no family to wake up to.. no parents. I was nine.. and they died because of me.. because I wanted one stupid tree.. Taehyung.. I wanted a tree but instead I got a Christmas in an orphanage." He turned to Taehyung.
Taehyung felt his heart break and he slowly shook his head. "Jungkook.." he tried to speak but couldn't. "I know how you feel Taehyung.. and I know how bad it hurts and how you want to die every single day or every single minute.. I know.." Jungkook gulped.
Taehyung got on his knees in front of Jungkook who was leaning forward. The sniffles were heard, Jungkook was crying. Taehyung cupped Jungkook's face and Jungkook grabbed onto Taehyung's hand. "I killed my parents for a stupid tree.." he mumbled and Taehyung brought Jungkook in for a hug.
