My eyes furrowed in focus, the sun had poked out of the mountains horizon, and I patiently waited for my next victim. I had heard many times, that what I did was stupid, weird, or simply infuriating. But when the moment came, I always managed to catch the flicker of amusement in their eyes, as much as they denied it afterwords.

Tap, tap, tap. The footsteps rang loud and clear through the silent motionless hallway. I could sense the fear in my next victims aura It was always the same, fear. I was on top of the lockers, no one suspected me here. Then again, not many people could escape my traps.

A small sigh escaped my lips, only one person was able to escape my traps. Although me ability was strong like none other, this person was a genius. The sole thought of it was terrifying, but I never showed any fear. They usually kept a sharp eye on me, I guess I was a troublemaker. I loved ruining other people's reputations. For this, I was known as the Defamatory. One of the top seven in this school. Absolutely everyone despised me, either because of my pranks on them. Or the fact that I was evil vicious and had the worst sense of humour.

The small petit girl kept on walking. My sinister smile grew larger, she had no idea what was coming. After this, she would go screaming around the other halls, and then everyone would see her, and laugh.

I pressed the soft red button, and before they knew it, a fresh set of paint fell on the victim. Her screams of terror and misery were heard throughout the school. I smirked in delight, these pranks I did, were the only enjoyable thing in this school.

I knew that people would come soon, and these people would most likely include the authorities. So I probably needed to get to class.

"Hey Defamatory," a voice called out, "is there a small chance that you were behind this?" The sarcasm dripped in venom.

"No sir," I chanted, even doing a small salute. I turned around to face her.

She crossed her arms, "if you are so sure, then why don't you start with calling me Miss." She glowered at me, "and start explaining to me why you did your prank."

I laughed, "well I got to get to class," I jumped off the set of lockers and started to walk away.

"I have a question," she told me plainly, "before you go to your so called class I need you to tell me the number of people you have pulled pranks on."

"And why," I began, "would I tell you that?"

She smiled wickedly, "I am glad you asked." She paused, "After this, I will stop bothering you for the rest of the day," she proposed.

My eyes widened, this was freedom! "Of course!" I jumped, "this one was the 205th, not that I count." I smirked, I knew that she never went back on her word.

"Perfect," she grumbled, "now could you please come to the office."

I cocked my head, "you just told me you would let me off!"

She nodded, "I did, but I said "after this", I haven't finished yet."

I glared at her, "you know I could easily run away." I crossed my arms and watched as she pulled out her phone.

"I know," she stated, "but I recorded the whole thing on my phone." She clicked her screen.

I turned to face her, "you b*tch, what do you gain from this?"

She grinned, "I won't have to worry about you for the rest of the day, right?"

I growled, and we both headed to the office.

I glared at her small frame. She was only an inch smaller than me, but I couldn't help but feel more superior in that way. Her hair fell down below her shoulders, and I noticed that today. She was not wearing a ponytail.

"What are you looking at?" Her voice cut my thoughts in half. "And why do you have that creepy grin on your face?"

I shook my head, "if anyone is creepy here, it's you."

She glanced at me, her blue eyes looking as if they could penetrate my soul. "Do you want to bet on that?" Her question carried maturity and authority.

I stayed silent, I knew I couldn't win any verbal battle, not with her.

"Nothing to say," she teased. The sun was now shining brightly, and the window reflected it back on us. Her hair shined out, and all I could do, was stare.

At that moment, we arrived to the office. "After you," she smirked.

I turned slowly, until I was fully facing her, "of course... Altruistic." With that, I marched toward my fate. A hard arm grasped my wrist.

"That's not my name," she grumbled.

"Fine then," I straitened my back. Now, I grabbed her wrist, "have a nice day... Seraphina."
