I was currently standing in the headmasters office, awaiting my fate. A sense of anger and betrayal ran through my veins. How dare she! She practically threw me to the wolves!

"Why wouldn't she? A voice in my head asked, "you haven't been the nicest either, have you?"

I growled, she was evil! She couldn't care less about the things that happened around her!

"That's pretty stupid," My voice chuckled, "since her nickname is Altruistic, Selfless and kind."

I stared at the shiny wooden door that stood. I narrowed my eyes, hoping that it wouldn't open up any time soon.

"You know," I said, talking to nobody in particular, "a name doesn't signify your place."

"Okay," the voice continued, "Then what are you, Defamatory?"

I huffed in annoyance, "I am whatever I want to be." I responded hastily.

Unexpectedly, the headmasters door opened. The creaking hollow sound that followed it chilled my nerves. The message was clear, 'Don't try anything.'

I stood up slowly, and walked towards the room. 'Breath,' I told myself, 'just hope you won't be suspended, or worse, expelled.' I knew that Altruistic found information that could end up with me in major trouble.

I faced the headmaster, sitting in the chair in front of the desk. I took a big breath in and out.

The Headmaster glanced at me, "John," he began, "I am sure you know why you are here."

I bowed my head down, "yes," I responded, trying to look polite.

He nodded, "and I am sure you know what the consequences could be."

I clenched my teeth, "yes," I repeated. My hands shook, hoping that luck could get me out of this.

"So," he glowered at me, "I will give you a chance to say something, so that I can make my decision."

I widened my eyes, I need to do something smart. I thought of Altruistic and Noxious, they would easily be able to get out of here. What would they say?

"Think about its," the voice grinned, "both Noxious and Altruistic tell people what they want, so what can you do now?"

My eyes snapped open, that's it! I knew exactly what those two would do in this position. My mind seemed to be getting smarter!

"Headmaster," I began, trying to use the right words, "how can I say anything, when I know that the blame is correct? How can I possibly apologize for the sins I have committed? All those poor students," I dropped my voice to a mere whisper, "how can I possibly forgive myself."

The Headmaster widened his eyes, I needed to continue if I was actually going to pull this off.

"How can you forgive me, when I can't even forgive myself?" I made my voice crack, hoping that it would somehow convince him that I was telling the truth.

I must have made a good speech, because he was looking at me in surprise. I could tell that he wasn't completely convinced, my speech sounded like it came from one of those drama movies!

"John." The Headmaster stated, "that was exactly what I was looking for, the only problem is... were you telling the truth?"

I stared at him, worried. Would he see through me? Can he simply believe that I was lying, and send me away?

"I don't know what to think," the Headmaster admitted, "but until a lie detector comes around... I will  have to simply keep my eye on you." He smiled.

       My eyes widened in shock.

        Was this real?!

Was I going to be left off with a warning, and be free (for now)?!?

This was almost too good to be true!!!!

"I hope you understand," the Headmaster crossed his arms. "That I am not giving you freedom right away. I will get someone to watch you, so they can report to me what you are doing."

My mood instantly went down. 'Someone to watch me?! That's completely unnecessary!'

       $

I was walking down the halls, mentally groaning curses. The Headmaster wanted someone to watch me. He said that if I was quiet and completely not causing any trouble, he wouldn't get someone to watch me. But if I continued to go my normal ways, he would assign an authority to watch over me.

       'Watch over me.'

Those words continued to repeat in my head.

       I'm not a child!!

      I don't need babysitting!!!!

      'It looks like it.'

I shook my head, "as if. I'm perfect the way I am."

Abruptly, the bell rung, signalling that everyone should get to class. Not that I cared. I was going to skip, like always.

I walked outside, making sure to catch a few eyes of the authorities. I loved to watch their expression when I purposely skipped. Right in their faces.

Funny thing is, they know that they can't send me to class. That's Altruistic's  job, and at the moment, she wasn't here.

"Are you sure you haven't seen her!" I could hear a voice plead. "She never skips, please, can you help me find her."

I rounded the corner, promptly forgetting about skipping.

"I think that you should head to class, if she isn't there, then it isn't your responsibility." A voice that held authority growled.

I raised my eyebrows at the sight. Arlo was pleading with a authority, it seemed like there was trouble.

"This is exactly what happened last time!" Arlo protested. "If something like that happened now, I should find her!"

The authority paused. "Fine, but I'm not going to help you."

I squinted my eyes, what was going on here?

Before I could ask, Arlo dashed, running out the door.

      The authority sighed, "ugh."

"Excuse me." I asked in a wicked voice. "Could you please tell me what that was about."

They shrugged, "apparently Altruistic didn't show up for class, and you know the reason why she didn't come to class last time. Honestly, I wouldn't be too worried, but you never know." He grimaced, "it could be just like last time."

I scowled, "well that's stupid." I walked out the door. "But if something bad happened to her..." I gave a full blown smirk. "I want to be there to record it."

With that, I walked out the door, pulling out my phone.
