Jane's POV

I set the files down on the table.

"Ok guys, this is a new mission, but, I think this one will be fairly easy. There are some smugglers we need to stop. From recent reports, it looks as if they're only smuggling expensive tech, such as televisions, phones, and the like. We need to shut down their illegal program. They aren't very discreet, so we're sure to hit this one out of the park."

Dustin picked up the files.

"Are these the guys?"

"Yes. Troy Harrington is the head of the operation, and this other guy, James, has been helping him."

"Ugh, this mission will be boring. Just smugglers selling stolen televisions? When will we get another exciting job, like the Williams Case last year?" Lucas groaned. "I want to use my gadgets!"

"I know, but, once we get this out of the way, we can start a more exciting operation."

"Hey! I just did some coding, and I found their current whereabouts," Dustin interrupted.

"The warehouse by the coast?" Will asked.

"Seems right. It sounds like the ideal lair. That place has been abandoned for years." Max stated.

"This'll be easy. Will, you're driving."

The team all got into the van and drove down the highway, down to the coast. When they arrived, Jane gave them all assignments.

"Will, stay here with Dustin. I need you to be lookout. Dustin, I need you to get into the computer system and watch us through the surveillance. Max and I will go in. Both of us have earpieces. If you need to warn us, talk to us through the mic. Lucas, you stay here for now, but load us up on some gadgets."

"Sounds like a plan," Lucas said, handing us some of his creations. Max kissed him on the cheek before leaving.

"Eww," I jokingly said as we exited the vehicle.

"Oh, you're just jealous," Max laughed.

"Hey, let's split up. I'll take left, you go right."

"Okay, sounds good."

We both went our separate ways. The back door to the warehouse was unlocked. I carried a pistol and had a pocket knife in my pocket, like always. I was ready for anything, or, so I thought.

I stealthily crept along, entering the huge room, only to find it completely empty, except for a small object in the center if the room. I started walking toward it.

"Look out!" A voice shouted.

The next thing I know, I'm being tackled to the ground by a guy around my age.

Suddenly, there was a huge explosion, knocking us back. Fire was everywhere, along with rubble. The ceiling was caving in, and there was smoke everywhere. A bomb had gone off.

Both of us coughed. Blood dripped down the side of my face. I was full of soot and ashes. The guy who attempted to save me had soot all over his face, rubble in his now messy dark hair, and a gash across his forehead. He also was covered in ashes. He smiled at me.

"We meet again, Eleanor."

Oh no, not this guy again. He was a spy for another agency. He tried to steal the Williams Case from us last year, but failed. Now, he wanted to step on my toes in this case too?

"Hello, Alexander."

I assumed that was an alias. The first time we met, he asked who his "charming competition" was, and I used my alias, Eleanor.

"You're welcome. I just saved you."

"Oh please, I could've handled myself. I knew that was a bomb."

"Of course, that's exactly why you were headed straight for it," he said with such a straight face. Then, he burst into laughter.

I was fuming.

"Really? Why can't you just let my team and I handle this small case?"

"Your case? This is my agency's case. And, this is no small case."

"Oh yes because smuggling televisions is so dangerous."

He laughed.

"Televisions? Honey, you should be a comedian. They are smuggling illegal weapons and high tech science equipment. They're planning something huge. And, Troy isn't the head of the operation, he's one of the henchmen."

I was speechless. I was going to say something, but suddenly sparks flew everywhere. More rubble fell from the ceiling.

"Lets get out of here before this building collapses on us," he said, running out the door with me.

When we exited the building, it collapsed into flames.

"Until we meet again, Eleanor," he said, before taking off.

Something told me that this would be our most dangerous mission yet.
