Mike's POV:

Mike awoke. He found himself in a room, handcuffed to a table.

"What on earth?"
"You better start talking!" Jane commanded.
"Why are you questioning me?"
Jane stood up, filled with anger.
"I can't believe you! I knew your corporation couldn't be trusted. It was all a set up!"
"What?"
"Did you stage that fight? Just so you could get your hands on our files?"
I tried to stand up, but the handcuffs dug into my skin.
"If anyone here is playing dirty, it's you!" I yelled.
Jane approached me, and glared daggers at me.
"I'm not playing games."
"Why on earth would you think I would do something like that? You know I prefer duo."
"What happened to playing solo?" Jane asked, walking away.
I sat down.
"I guess sometimes it's good to have backup. I could've died back there, if you hadn't come in time."
Jane sat down back in front of me. Suddenly, her face lit up.
"Mike, do you know what this means?"
"What?"
She grabbed my handcuffed hands with hers, and looked me in the eyes.
"We have to stick together. I think there is a mole in one of our corporations."
"But whose?"
Jane pulled her hands away. She reached into her pocket, and pulled out a key to unlock my cuffs.
"Thanks."
Jane stood up, heading for the doors.
"Your knee was dislocated, so we'll have to pop it back into place. Follow me."

I followed Jane into the next room. She sat me down in a chair, one hand above and one below my knee.
"On the count of three. One. Two-"
"Three!"
I screamed in pain As I felt my bones crack back into place.
I stood up and tried to walk. My leg worked fine again. I walked up to a mirror on the other side of the room. I had a cut splitting my lip, but it was scabbed by now. I had a black eye and a scratch underneath my eye.
"Hey, I'm sorry about that. I can be a little, uptight."
I turned around to face Jane.
"It's okay. I understand," I chuckled.
---------
"Did you finish the job?"
"Yes. He's injured and I think we broke his leg. He won't be able to fight this battle."
"Good."
A man with a black fedora handed the mysterious person the files.
"We're only missing one. He swallowed it."
"Fair enough."
"Shall we enter Stage 2?"
"Yes. Yes, we shall."
