Leo ran up beside Darcy. He looked extremely guilty. "So you did it then." Darcy said after a awkward silence. Leo nodded grimly and looked away.
"Well I might be dead tomorrow," He said, shivering through the cold morning air. "Either by Cyclops or by Leigh."
Darcy nodded as she scanned the crowd of half-bloods for James. "Have you seen James?" She asked Leo.
Leo started looking as well and frowned. "No." He turned around and continued looking around for James's blonde hair. "Where did you last see him?"
Darcy looked towards the Hermes cabin. "He was going back to his cabin for his weapon." Without another word, Darcy headed towards the Hermes cabin, Leo following suite. She pushed through cabin eleven's front door. The cabin was silent.
"James?" Darcy called. No answer. She took a few steps in. "James? Are you in here?"
A muffled whimpering sound came from the corner. James sat there, covering his face looking very afraid. Darcy rushed to his side and gently pried his hands away from his face. "Look," She said softly. "I know you're scared and quite frankly, I think we all are." She glanced over her shoulder at Leo.
He nodded and crouched beside Darcy. "But as long as you have her," He nudged Darcy with his elbow, causing her to teeter over and land on her butt. She shot Leo an angry glare but turned back to James. Leo looked back to. "Yeah. You'll be fine." He grinned.
A small smile flashed across James's face. "Ok." He said before slowly standing up and reaching for a bronze sword. He took a deep breath. "Let's do this."
Darcy smiled and stood up as well. She hugged James gently. That only lasted a moment before the whole camp shook with an explosion. Darcy ran to a window and peered out. Demigods were flocking towards the camp border, brandishing their weapons and screaming bloody murder... actually that was mostly the Ares kids. "We so gotta go." Darcy said before running out of the cabin. Leo and James followed her.
They ran towards the border where they could already hear weapons clanging as the made contact with eachother. Darcy readied her bow and knocked and arrow. Who knows what could jump around the corner at her at any given moment.
From the corner of her eye, Darcy saw Leo glance guiltily towards his new cabin. She looked back as well. She wondered how Leigh was- aaaaaahh!!! Leonte!!
It jumped out if nowhere, landing on top of James. Leo was knocked backwards several feet by the Leonte's powerful tail. Darcy drew back her arrow and fiered it at the monster. The arrow burried itself in the creature's rear end. Sure, the arrow didn't kill it, but at least it got it off James. The Leonte turned on Darcy and came charging towards her. She shot another arrow but the monster nimbly dogged it. It pounced and Darcy couldn't do anything. She was screwed.
Just as it's claws were about to rip Darcy appart, the Leonte exploded into a shower of yellow monster dust. When the cloud cleared, Darcy could see Leora standing there looking very much pissed off. A handcuff hung off her slightly bloodied wrist and her dargger was laying on the ground at Darcy's feet.
