Darcy was released from the infirmary the next day.  Leo never left the infirmary without her, which she found rather sweet.  As they walked towards the dinning pavilion, Leo caught her up on what she missed.

"Well, seven demigods, including me, saved the world from... well the earth." He said matter-of-factly.  "And, um, I gotagirlfriend." He said the last part to quickly.

Darcy raised an eyebrow.  "What?  You seem a little nervous there, moron." She playfully punched his shoulder.

Leo took a deep breath.  "I have a girlfriend.  Her name is Calypso and she is immortal and- yeah..." He finished awkwardly.

Darcy squealed a jumped into his arms, hugging him as tightly as she could.  "Leo!  That's great!  Are you happy?"

Leo frowned.  "Yeah, I'm happy... why?"

"Because if you are, I am!  Gods, you are such a wonderful moron." She joked and hugged him again.

9 years earlier...

Darcy sat on the swing in her backyard feeling very unhappy.  She hadn't seen Leo in months and had no idea where he had gotten himself to.  Over the past year, she found that she became very fond of Leo and enjoyed his company more than she expected.  He was funny and witty, always coming up with the right comebacks at the right time.

"Psst!" Darcy heard someone hiss from behind her.  She whipped around and squinted at the shadows, attempting to see the person who called out to her.

She caught some chocolate brown eyes and smiled.  "Don't psst me." She teased.  She hopped of her swing and sauntered over to Leo.  "Where have you been?"

Her stomach dropped when she realized Leo's eyes were red and puffy like he had just been crying.  "My mom's dead.  My aunt Rosa wouldn't take me.  I have been in foster homes.  I ran away.  The end." He said angrily.

"Leo..." Darcy hugged him.  "I'm so sorry."

He hugged her back.  "Can we just go watch Doctor Who and eat cookies?" Darcy seemed hesitant at the idea of not playing outside.  "Please?" Leo pleaded.

Darcy hears the pain in her voice and nods.  The curl up together on her basement couch, under a fluffy blanket, Doctor Who playing and her TV, all the cookies in the house shared between them and holding hands tightly.

Once they arrived at the dinning pavillion.  Darcy looked around, confused.  She didn't remember who her goddly parent was... in fact, she could barely remember the faces of her fellow demigods.

She jumped when she felt Leo's warm hand on her back.  "Darcy?  You ok?" He asked.

Darcy looked back and shook her head.  "Where do I sit?"

"You don't remember your goddly parent..?" Leo asked hesitantly.

Darcy shook her head again.  Her cheeks redened in embarrassment.

"Your a Zeus kid." Leo said.  "Whoever made you foret that must have been a pretty damn powerful dude."

Darcy swallowed.  "And where do I sit."

Leo pointed to an empty table in the center of the pavillion.  Darcy sighed at the sight.  No one to talk to, great.  "See you later." Leo said before going to join his siblings.

Darcy slowly walked towards her table and sat down.  A platter came floating by, filled with different types of pizza.  Darcy reached up and grabbed a random slice and looked around for the drinks.  All of the other's kids cups were filled.  She saw one kid who had nothing in his cup, and when he talked to it, it filled with a blue liquid.

He looked up and caught Darcy staring.  His green eyes flashed with amusement and he winked at her.  She quickly looked away and back down at her cup. She decided to try talking to it.

"Um," She started awkwardly.  "Hi little cup... I would really like something to drink... anything?" Nothing happened.

She looked back up at green eyed boy.  He was still staring at her with a smirk.  He got up and walked over to her table.  "Do you remember how to work this?" He asked.

Apparently they knew eachother.  "No.  I don't even remember you... but you seem to remember me."

He slid into the seat across from her.  "Yeah... I heard.  I'm Percy Jackson, your closesr cousin out of this lot." He gestured around the space.  "And all you have to do is say what you want to drink."

Darcy frowned.  Percy beckoned towards the cup.  "Uh... fruit punch." She said.  The glass filled with red juice.

Percy grinned.  "Cool, eh?"

Darcy nodded.  She leaned across the table and examined Percy.  "So are you my boyfriend or something?"

Percy looked taken aback.  "Uh no..." He seemed uncomfortable.  "My girlfriend is Annabeth."

Darcy laughed.  "That's to bad, you're cute." She liked to flirt.

"Great." Percy frowned.

"I'm just messing with you." Darcy tapped his arm.  "Ha.  Ok." He still seemed uncomfortable.

Darcy took a bite of pizza.  "So, do I have a boyfriend?"

Percy shrugged.  "I don't think so."

Darcy finished the last of her pizza and looked back up at Percy.  He was staring at her strangely.  "What?" She asked, wiping her chin in case she had any sauce on her face.

"You kind of just..." Percy made a ripping gesture with his hands.

"No," Darcy countered. "I am pretty sure I ate my pizza."

"No offense or anything, but you kind of just ate like an animal." Percy said.

Darcy looked around and she caught a few demigods staring.  "How long was I gone again?" She asked Percy.

"About five years." He answered.

"And I knew all these people?" She glanced around again.

Percy nodded.  "Most of them.  You were pretty popular."

Darcy felt rather dejected because no one had tried to talk to her yet, and that was especially bad if they really knew her.  "Have I really changed that much?"

Percy looked down and nodded quietly.

"Wonderful." Darcy growled and put her head on the table.  And she didn't move until Leo came to get her.
