James gingerly touched the top of Darcy's head.  "We need to dye your hair again." He daid regretfully.

Darcy sighed.  She hated dyeing her hair black.  It made her feel like it wasn't her.  But on her new passport, she had to have black hair or half balck, half strawberry blonde hair.  "Alright." She said.

That day, they went out and bought some hair dye.  Black for Darcy and James saud he would dye his hair brown sonshe wouldn't feel so alone.

When they were back in their rented hotel room, they stood in front of the mirror together applying dye to thier blonde hair.  James made faces at Darcy in the mirror and she laughed.

As they waited for the dye to take effect, they sat on the bed and talked.  "Where do you keep getting this money?" Darcy asked.

James shrugged.  "My dad has a post office not to far away.  I tell them who I am and they always help a demigod in need."

Darcy smiled and nodded.  At least he wasn't pickpocketing people.

They return to the bathroom to rinse out their hair.  "Stand in the tub." James said, unhooking the shower head.

Darcy stepped into the tub.  She didn't care if her clothes got wet.  James turned on the water and as soon as the water was spraying from the nozzle, James turned it on Darcy.  She screamed.

"No!" She jumped out of the tub.  James continued to follow her around with the water. "It's freezing!"

James laughed and turned the water away.  "Ok, ok." He was still laughing.  "Here, it's warm now."

Darcy looked at him suspiciously.  He stared back at her, the before she could react, he sprayed her again.  She jumped back, but this time the water running down her arms was warm.  "You're getting the floor wet!" She giggled.

James smiled and Darcy got back into the bathtub.  James rinsed her hair out.  His fingers massaged her scalp gently and she couldn't help but shiver with pleasure.  When James was done, he handed her a towel and stepped into the bathtub.  Darcy washed his hair out, tickling his neck every once ans awhile.

Darcy was shocked to see his hair come out brown.  He looked so different.  James , who was leaning against the edge of the tub, looked up at her and smiled.  He cupped her neck and brought her face down to his for a kiss.  When she was done washing out his hair.

James quickly dried his hair our and pulled Darcy towards the bed.  They lay down together and cuddled.  Eventually, the were both asleep.

Present day

Darcy found Leo by the Camp's border.  He was leaning up against a tree, staring out into the open.  Darcy quietly sat beside him.  He didn't acknowledge her so she just sat beside him and waited.

When the silence became unbearable, Darcy spoke up.  "You ok?"

Leo looked at her like he was just snapped out of a daze.  "Didn't realize you were there." He sat up straighter.  "Yeah, I'm fine.  I just miss someone."

Darcy looked at her knees.  She could tell Leo loved Leora very much.  It made her feel jealous.  She shook her head.  No.  She loved James.  "I have dreams about her." Darcy said.  She realized that sounded creepy.  "You know, the demigod dreams where I see something that's happening at that moment or whatever."

Leo leans forwards.  "Is she ok?"

Darcy nods.  "She's fine." She decided to leave out the part out the antidote.  She figured it would be a pleasant surprise for him.

Leo smiled and leaned back.  "Do me a favour and fall asleep again."

Darcy rolled her eyes but she wanted to make Leo happy.  She leaned back against Leo's shoulder and closed her eyes.

Leo shook her awake for supper.  "Anything?" He asked hopefully.

Darcy shook her head.  She had an oddly peaceful sleep.  "Maybe tonight." She offered.

Leo looked bummed out but nodded.  He held out his hand and helped Darcy to her feet.  They walked towards the dinning pavilion together.  Leo barely talked, and when he did it was about the different machines he made.

James came to join Darcy at her table when they were eating.  On the menu tonight was buffalo wings and salad.  It was a rare treat at camp Half-Blood.

When she crawled into bed, she looked up at the dark ceiling and made a silent prayer.  "Leora, I need too dream about you tonight.  I know it sounds creepy but it's for Leo." Darcy paused, not too sure how to finish off a prayer.  "So, um, yeah.  Amen?"

She shruged and closed her eyes.

It took three days for Darcy to finally dream about Leora again.

Leora was staring out a window in her room, drumming her fingers lightly on her baby bump.  She looked absolutely bored out of her mind.  She started to pace the room.  Her fingers brushed up against piles of books on her dresser and she picked them up, flipped through the pages then put them back down again.
The door burst open and a young man walked in.  Leora smiled.  "Hey Apollo." She greeted him.  Apollo smiled and gathered Leora in a hug.  "Hey sweetie." He leaned down and pressed his face to her stomach.  "How are you there little guy?"
Leora laughed and Apollo stood up to face her again.  "I am going to bless that little guy." He smiled.
Leora laughed.  "I know, you told me nine times." Apollo grinned.  "So have you and Leo decided on a name yet?"
Leora sucked in a breath and shook her head.  "I haven't talked to him since August."
Apollo looked shocked.  "Why not?"
Leora scoweld slightly.  "Hecate said I wasn't allowed."
Apollo narrowed his eyes.  "Well I say you can."
Leora smiled.  "Thanks." She nervously pulled on the hem of her toga.  "But I know for a fact that I have a personal messenger to him now."
Apollo cocked his head. "Oh?"
Leora smiled.  "Hey Darcy," She called.  "Ask him what he thinks about the name Amelia."
Apollo raised an eyebrow.  "Honey," He said.  "No matter your status as a god, you still look crazy talking to yourself."
Leora smiled.  "Darcy is Leo's best friend." She turns away.  "And she burns her offerings to me.  So does Leo."
Apollo laughed and flopped onto Leora's bed.  "If I had to burn an offering, I would burn it to myself.  Then you."
Leora stuck her tongue out at him.  She lay down beside him.  "It's good to have you as a best friend, Po."
He looked over at her.  "Did you just call me Po?" He asked.
Leora smiled back at him.  "What?  Do you prefer Lo?"
Apollo stuck his tongue out at her.  "Gods no." He poked her bump.  "Your mother is a menace." He joked.
They lay in silence before Leora spoke up.  "What's it like being a parent?" She asked.
Apollo shrugged.  "It's wonderful.  The idea that you brought new life into this world feels great."
Leora thought for a moment.  "When I first learnt the dangers of being a demigod," She seemed lost in thought.  "I never thought I would make it long enought to be a mother."
Apollo smiled at her.  "Congratulations."
Leora shook her head.  "But I barely made it." She swallowed.  "When that spike went through my neck, I thought that was it." She shivered.  Apollo gently took her hand.  "I remember thinking what would happen to this kid  if I died."
Apollo hugged her.  Leora shuddered at the memories.  "It's ok," Apollo stroked her hair.  "You're ok and so is the little miracle inside of your stomach."
Leora stared off into space.  "Darcy, tell Leo I love him and that I will see him soon." She said.
