Chapter 10

Eric Pov.

The next day after the chasms instant dent and Shai's nightmare, was the beginning of stage two. I walk down to the training room to write down the ranks. I walk in and I see Peter and two other guys talking. "So what do we do?" One of the guys asks. I stay quiet and listen. "You and Drew are going to go up to her and tell her that Eric asked to meet her in the training room." Peter responses. "And then I will be here hiding, in till she gets here." Peter adds. I hope he's not talking about Shai. "Then I will knock her out and take her to the place." Peter says. "And what do we get out of this?" Drew asks. "We three will all get a piece of Shai." Peter says and grins evilly. Anger boils inside of me. What are they planning to rape her? I think she got enough of that in Erudite.

"I personally don't think that's going to work." I state, coming out of the shadows. They all jump at my voice. Peter eyes widen and then he smirks for some reason. "Oh Eric, I know you want a piece of her too." Peter says and I glare at him. "Why would I want to rape someone so innocent as she is?" I ask angrily. "So your saying if she wasn't innocent you would?" Peter asks. "No." I say sternly. "And Peter you know I can get you cut for even planning this?" I ask and Peter's smirk disappears. He stays silent for a while. "Planning what?" a quiet female voice echoes around the training room.

Shai Pov.

I walk into the training room early, the next morning. I barely slept the rest of the night because of the dream. Every time I closed my eyes I saw Peter hovering over me, moving back in forth into me. I shudder and look around the training room. I hear voices and look to see Eric, Peter, Drew, and some random guy. "And Peter you know I can get you cut for even planning this?" Eric says. And then everything is quiet. "Planning what?" I blurt out, all of them turn to me. "Yeah, Peter why don't you tell her what you were planning." Eric says and smirks as he crosses his arms over his chest. I walk up to them and stand next to Eric and wait for a response. Peter just stares at the ground and stays silent, I swear he's probably not even breathing.

"So your not going to tell her that you were planning to rape her!" Eric snaps. I freeze, they were going to try and rape me! I gasp and move closer to Eric, he looks at me and frowns at my reaction. Peter looks like he's going to piss his pants. "I guessing that's a no." Eric states. "Now, you three leave and Peter you will be punished for this." Eric snaps. They all jump and nod, while they quickly run out of the room.

I stare at the ground and my eyes tear up. I can't stand this! I transferred to Erudite to stop living in fear. But even in Dauntless I still live in fear. My fear is replaced with anger and I roll my hands into fist. I need to punch something. Eric notices my mood swing and turns me to face him. He holds up both his hands up in the air his palms facing me. "Go ahead." Eric says. I make eye contact with him and raise my eye brows. "Go ahead punch me." Eric says and nudges his head to his hands. I shake my head, I don't want to hurt him. He sighs and rolls his eyes. "Shai, just do it. It won't hurt me." Eric says. I sigh and throw my hardest punch into his right palm.

"Holy shit!" Eric yells through gritted teeth. "Sorry!" I yell. Eric just chuckles and shakes his head. "Don't apologize, I just didn't think you could punch that hard." Eric says, rubbing his right palm. I smile and chuckle a little. "I guessing it worked." Eric states, noticing my smile. I nod and sigh a little. "Well I gotta go write ranks, see you Shai." Eric says and starts walking off to the other side of the training room. Still smiling I turn around to take a walk before the ranks but there stands Drew and Peter. I frown and Peter grins. Before I can say anything, something hard hits me on the back on my head. I fall to the ground and everything goes black.
