Isabella's P.O.V.

I knew that my pack and I were in deep shit when Carson spoke. He was livid with anger. I try to play it off, but I am in my wolf form still. I give him a toothy grin. No one looks impressed. Carson orders,

"Shift!" I don't at first because I hate taking orders. I wait a couple minutes and then shift. It was a stressful experience because it was the first time I was going to use the trick of shifting with clothes on. I close my eyes and concentrate. When I open them, I am in human form in clothes with all the Alphas besides Carson gaping at me like I grew an extra head. I say,

"What do you want?" Carson replies with a no nonsense attitude,

"Explanations!"

"Why?" I know I am pressing the buttons of an already furious werewolf but I cannot help it. Carson does not answer, so Alex comes in,

"You know why."

"Maybe I don't. Enlighten me."

"You lied to us."

"No, I didn't."

"Yes you did. When we asked you about the white wolves!"

"Think about my wording at the time. Everything I told you was strictly truth." Everyone trys to remember that conversation.

*Flashback*

Alex, Elina's mate, clears his throat and begins,

"You said you had information about the White Wolves?" I respond,

"Yes"

"Would you mind sharing it? It is part of the deal."

"I will share some."

"Then, do tell."

"You have to ask me the questions. I know you want to kill the white wolves, so I will only give the information that you specifically ask for." Aiden, Sam's mate, continues,

"Do you know who they are?"

"They are white wolves."

"I mean did you see them in their human form?"

"No, they said it was for our own good."

"When was the last time you saw them?"

"About a day before you caught up with us in the clearing."

"Why did they leave?"

"They said it was because of safety reasons. They knew you were closing in on us, so we came up with the plan of the threat with the silver knives. They had to leave us to avoid you." Christopher, Emma's mate, adds,

"Do you know of the prophecy?"

"Yes."

"Were there six of them?" I smile and reply,

"Yes." All the Alphas looked alarmed. I add just for fun, "There was one leader who suggested the idea of me leading a pack. She even said to call it the White Wolves Pack because she would protect us when our mates fail."

*Flashback over*

Everyone thinks over their memory. Eventually, Alex smiles triumphantly and says,

"When you said that you never saw them in their human forms! You did." I reply, unfazed,

"I never saw the white wolves in their human forms because there were no mirrors to see myself."

"But you saw the others."

"I could have meant all the white wolves. I never saw all the white wolves in their human forms at once because I would never see myself."

"What about when you said that you parted ways with the white wolves?"

"When I said that, I meant that we did not shift into our wolves from then on. So, we parted ways."

"Oh," Alex says weakly. Aiden mumbles under his breath but because of werewolf hearing, everyone hears,

"She's like a god damn lawyer." I smile at that statement. Carson starts talking again, but to the Alphas,

"What can we do?" Alex answers,

"We cannot kill them."

"No!"

"This means that the prophecy shall come to pass." Jason, in a fit of poetic inspiration, said,

"Remember the third part about the prophecy from the witch's daughter.

'I laugh at you because you resist, you do not see how pointless it is. I have several final words of wisdom for you less cryptic than my mother's:

The Alpha Queen shall arrive and all shall bow to her will.

The ones who swore to resist the most can do the least

She is not something you can or should run from but rather to.

She shall come when the world is at an end to start it anew.

She is unstoppable, appearing innocent but when angered or aggrieved,

BEWARE!' Then one of the guards killed her." Daniel nods his head and comments,

"The White Wolves which are our mates came and one of them must be an Alpha Queen. It might be Izzy, but maybe not because 'appearing innocent' is not what I would use to describe her. We are the ones who swore to kill all and any white wolves, but cannot do anything about them. We all want to go towards our mates." Everyone is nodding their head, but they still look mad. Christopher asks, hurt,

"Why did you not tell us?" I do not answer because he is talking to his mate, Emma who does not answer either. Carson says,

"We're going to leave for a while. Let the white wolves wait for once." He walks out and our other mates are soon to follow.

I am hurt that our mates left us like that. It seems they have forgotten about the huge rogue attack that wanted to kill us all. They are not the only ones who have problems! What is so bad about an Alpha Queen anyway?! My hurt quickly turns to anger as I lead my pack back inside the house.

How could one argument make everything right go wrong?
