Isabella's P.O.V
*2:00 P.M. the next day*
Our mates were arriving soon to spend time with us. I was actually kind of excited. The dates had gone so well, that maybe this will work after all. I was personally planning on dragging Carson to the nearby lake to go swimming. It could be fun. My pack is stressing about their visit. Emilia wants to bring Jason on a hunting expedition in human form, of course. Miya wants to have fun in the forest with Daniel. Emma wants to go on a picnic with Christopher. Elina will be staying in the house with Alex. Sam will be bringing Aiden on a hike or bike ride. This way, I will be close to everyone but not close enough to make it awkward.
DING DONG!
This bell is seriously starting to annoy me. I have been hearing it too much lately and I hate the sound. I rush over and open the door to our dearest Alphas. It texted Carson and the Alphas what their mates wanted to do today, so they would come appropriately dressed. I yell to my girls,
"See you in an hour!" before leaving with Carson in tow. He says,
"How far is the lake?" I reply,
"Not far!"
"That's not really an answer."
"A good ten minute walk." His eyes twinkle mischievously,
"What about run?"
"For me, not long but you, I don't know." I knew I was insulting his pride, but I can't resist
"I think I'll take less time than you to run."
"I don't think so, mate."
"Wanna bet?"
"Why not?" I take off running towards the lake. Carson does not hesitate and follows quickly.
"That's cheating."
"It's not." I stay ahead of him by a little because I am only using my alpha speed and not my white wolf one. I make it first by a second and laugh at him. He pouts,
"You cheated!" I continue laughing at him and take off my cover-up. I am in my bikini and I say,
"C'mon, let's go swimming!" I dive in and a minute later I see Carson splash in too. I dive under water quickly so when Carson resurfaces he does not see me
"Where are you, Bella?" Yesterday, I had told to call me Izzy like everyone else, but he waned to call me something original. It might get confusing when he meets my wolf, Belle though. I jump out of the water in front of him. He roars playfully,
"This is war!" We splash around for an hour before getting out of the water to warm up on the beach. It was so fun. I talked with Carson some more and it was effortless. A little voice in the back of my head was nagging me that it was too perfect. I push it away, wanting to enjoy the moment. To appreciate said moment, I lean in and kiss Carson for fun. In a moment however, he is on top of me, deepening the kiss. His lips shift and start kissing my collarbone. I gasp when he finds the spot where I will be marked eventually. I feel him stop at the spot and suddenly, I feel uneasy. He wouldn't mark me without my consent, would he? I try to push him away but I can't without showing my white wolf origins. It was worrying that if he did something, I could not stop him.
Suddenly, Elina mind-links me and I get up abruptly, getting Carson off. I tell him,
"Something's wrong with my pack!" I start heading back to the house and I hear Carson behind me, chasing me! I sigh, the Alphas had planned something. I pick up my pace.
Here I was, finally thinking I could have a good life. It's time to get to the bottom of their plan!
