Chapter 42 - Saving Family

Isabella's P.O.V.

Zoe (my sister), Zack (my brother), and Chloe (my mother) had been escorted out of the council room by guards. We are keeping them in cells until we solve whatever my father (Arthur) did. When I left the council gathering, I went to go see them, leaving Carson and the others to plan out the war. I head to the basement. When I got there, Zack and Chloe are silent, but Zoe runs to me, blubbering,

"Can you get the collar off? They hurt me and threatened me so I couldn't go to you. I am so sorry. I should have fought more like you." I calm her down enough to ask my questions,

"Do you know what the witch did to you and Zack?"

"The witch chanted something to put my collar on. She warned dad that it would only work once and will kill me unless someone else intervenes. The witch did not want to do it, but dad threatened her mate, so she had to. I do not know what she did to Zack." 

I knew that Zoe had told me all she could. I try to break Zoe's collar but to no avail. I sigh, there is only one solution to this problem, another witch or warlock. Luckily, I knew Andrew, my cousin, from earlier in our adventure. I take out my cell phone. Hopefully, the number he gave me would still work. On the fourth ring, he picks up,

"Hello, who is this?" I answer,

"Who else?"

"Oh my god, Izzy! How are you? What do you need? Do I have to go kick some Alpha's butt?" I laugh at his comments

"No, everything with the Alphas has worked itself out. We are at war on the other hand."

"Well, shit! What do you need me for?"

"My lovely father has decided to use our family against me."

"He is technically on the other side of our family. On my side, we all knew that he was a complete douchebag. Anyone named Arthur is! I assume he used a witch and now you need me."

"Yup."

"Awesome, I'll be outside of your castle in a sec. I just need to prepare my teleportation spell. This is going to be fun!" I chuckle,

"Your version of fun is different than mine."

"Yeah, maybe. Bye! Meet me at the door, so that your guards don't kill me."

"Naturally! Bye!" With that, Andrew hangs up and I head to the front door. Apparently, none of the other Alphas have come out yet. Everyone is still waiting for the announcement that comes from the meetings usually. They all want to ask me what has happened, but they are too scared. It is good that they stay far away from me. I am not in the mood for idle chit chat. I make it to the front door with no one stopping me. I do not have to wait long for Andrew to appear in front of me. It makes the guards jump, but I put their minds at ease with my greeting,

"Andrew, thanks for coming on such short notice!" He hugs me,

"No problem! I also set up a magical barrier around the surroundings, so no other witch or warlock can get in without me knowing."

"Thanks again! What would I do without you, cousin?" I say dramatically. Andrew laughs,

"Probably beat everyone up and win the war anyway."

"True. Come inside, I'll show you my dilemma!" I escort him to the basement. Everyone is curious about this new warlock, but again I am scary enough to make them back off. At least I thought. A little boy came up to me and asked,

"Excuse me, Luna Isabella, but who is that man?" I can see his mother looking worriedly at him, trying to motion him to come back. I must really scare them. I look down at the boy and answer,

"It's just my cousin, Andrew, a warlock to help me. What's your name?"

"Dan," he proudly states.

"Well, Dan, I think you should go back to your mother. She looks worried." He looks back at his mom and then turns one last time to me,

"Yes, I should. Bye Luna Isabella and Warlock Andrew!" Dan turns around and walks to his mom. Andrew chuckles at the little boy's mischief,

"What a funny boy?" I do not even answer, just continue on my way to my family. That interaction should show that I do not bite. We finally make it down. Andrew looks at Zoe, frowning,

"This is a repurposed torture device. It was never meant to be used like your father did. Even if you had not let him go, it still would have killed her. But it is easy enough to get rid of. Can I use your power to help?" 

"Of course. I'll let you tap into my power." It was the way to do it without tiring him. I had much more power stored in me as a white wolf. Finally, it is useful. I put my hand on Andrew's should as he puts his hands on Zoe's collar. Andrew chants,

"Uvoľnite jej väzby. Ona urobila nie je zlé si zaslúži túto cenu. Golier, to nie je vaša mágia potrestať takúto dievčinu. Uvoľnite ju, alebo byť zakázané z tohto sveta." At the end of his chanting, the collar breaks itself in two and falls to the ground. Zoe jumps up and hugs Andrew,

"Thank you so much!" Andrew hugs her back,

"Anything for you, cuz!" He now walks over to Zack, my brother, who is just mindlessly sitting on the ground. Andrew studies him and declares,

"This however is a much more complicated spell. There is no expiration. It is meant to bound the person to his master forever, making all thoughts of escape impossible. Normally, this would be impossible to break." Zoe gasps "But since Zack is an Alpha in his own right, he might be fighting the spell. If he is fighting, I can help him along with your help Izzy. It might work, but only if he wants it to break." I shrug,

"It's worth a shot. Zack was a rather private person, so I do not know if he would fight father's obedience spell or not. But I am willing to try to save my family." Andrew nods. I link my hand with his, making a circle around Zack. Andrew starts to chant again,

"Zack, ste tam? Ak áno, boj! tu som. Požičať si svoju silu k boju. Boj tejto poslušnosti kúzlo. Boj svojho zlého otca. Bojovať za svoje sestry. Boj o vašu budúcnosť!" I can sense that Zack is moving! He is fighting. We stand like this a couple more minutes before I hear Zack's voice,

"Izzy, is that you?" I break the circle and rush to Zack with Zoe, engulfing him in a hug. Zoe says,

"I am so happy that you are back!" Zack shakes us off to ask,

"What's happened?" Andrew decides to explain,

"Your father put an obedience spell on you because you refused to cooperate when he put the collar on Zoe. At the meeting, he traded you, Zoe and Chloe for his own life. Izzy called me to help and since you were already fighting the spell, it was easier to break you free." Zack calls to Andrew,

"Thanks, cuz!" I could not stop smiling as I left my family to join Carson and the meeting again. I could finally plan this war because my family was safe again. My sister and brother together and my mother behind bars.

I've saved my family, now it is time to save the rest of the world.
