AN: Btw I'll be using the description of Dally from the movie, not the book just so y'all don't get confused :)
AN: Also every character's thoughts will be in the fancier writing and in between these ''' and they'll be bolded so yah lol.
Johnny's POV
'Dallas Winston, tall, barely greased brown hair and beautiful empty brown eyes. Damn haven't seen him since he got locked up again.'
I had a cigarette in mouth and hands in my jean jacket.
That's all I could think about, Dallas Winston.
For some reason, it would always go back to him.
It had been around six or seven months since Dally had gotten locked up and he wasn't gonna get out until he had completed an entire year.
I headed to the Curtis house since I had already gotten in trouble at my own home for talking back to my father.
Before walking up the stairs I put out my cigarette.
I opened the front door to the Curtis house when all of a sudden I hear,
"Steve, Soda I swear I catch you one more time in my bed, I'm gonna kick you out!"
Darry yelled as a naked Sodapop and Steve ran past me.
'Sodapop was that one tuff parent that was there to comfort you but always make you laugh and a bit childish like too but at the same time very mature when needed. Steve was the not very impressed type and always nagging about something parent but damn he become such a softie around Sodapop. Honestly, don't know though why Steve makes himself seem a lot dumber than he actually is.'
I chuckled wishing things could be as fun as this in my own home.
"Oh hi Johnny, I didn't see you there."
Darry smiled softly at me.
"If you're looking for Ponyboy he's upstairs with Curly and there's some cake in the fridge if you want some."
He gave me one more gentle smile before running off to continue yelling at Steve and Sodapop.
'Darry, man he was basically like a dad to me always giving me food and letting me stay here when things got too rough over at my own home. Me and the gang like to call him Superman. He basically is giving up the scholarship to work two jobs instead to support his baby bros.'
I headed to the kitchen for that slice of cake and I see Two-Bit beer in hand,
'Honestly when is he never drunk.'
and stuffing his face with cake.
I snicker and throw him a napkin.
"Hey Johnny you want a piece of cake that this amazing angel Darry made?"
'Honestly Two-Bit had the biggest crush on Darry for as long as anyone can remember but he never said anything scared of what Darry would think or say. So he just kept his trap shut instead.'
"Nah after seeing what you did to that poor cake I'm fine."
"Alright then more for me then."
He got another piece and took another sip of his beer.
'Darry and Two-Bit would make an amazing couple considering that they would balance each other out. Darry would make sure Two-Bit stays out of trouble and help him out and Two-Bit would give Darry massages and cheer him up after a long day at work.'
I head upstairs to Ponyboy's room knowing I'm about to interrupt something.
'Curly was a bad influence on Ponyboy and even Darry thought so since one time he caught Curly trying to teach Ponyboy how to pick the lock at the liquor store. Ponyboy was a smart kid and I really didn't know why he hung out with us since he could be going off with em Socs or be more focused on his studies. Don't even know how him and Curly got together it just sorta happened. But hey if Ponyboy loved him then my opinions don't really matter.'
I knock on the door and all I hear is whispering and shuffling around before the door swung open.
"Hey, Johnny!"
Ponyboy said a bit too excited.
In the back I see Curly fixing his leather jacket and laying on the bed meanwhile, Ponyboy was fixing his hair.
"What brings you here?"
"Oh just stopped by since things at home got too bad didn't mean to interrupt nothin'."
Ponyboy gave me a sad smile.
"Oh, Johnnycakes you know you're always welcome here no matter what."
He put a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah well I'm not always welcome so can we go back to 'chatting'"
Curly exclaims as me and Ponyboy turn to look at him and his devilish smile.
Ponyboy throws a pack of cancer sticks at him making him fall off the bed.
Curly quickly gets up and grabs Ponyboy as they begin to playfight.
I close the door before anything happens that I might not want to see.
I head downstairs and see that all the commotion has gone down.
Steve and Sodapop finally put on clothes and are sleeping while snuggled up on the couch.
Two-Bit is on the floor and Darry is on the other couch both watching Mickey Mouse and eating cake.
I smiled and went outside for a smoke.
I bumped into something and yelled,
"Hey!"
I looked up.
'I'd recognize those empty brown eyes anywhere.'
"Dally?!"
Hey guys that's it for chapter one sorry this didn't really focus on Johnny and Dally but I had to establish the ships and the mood and everybody's characters
Next chapter will definitely have more Jally so yah hope y'all enjoyed it :3
