Johnny's POV
When our lips finally parted Dallas looked at me with the most love-filled eyes I've ever seen.
I hugged him just to make sure that I wasn't dreaming.
He hugged me back tighter and I felt pleased with myself.
When we finally got off the tree, boy did I get a yelling from Darry.
After he finally calmed down he headed to the house with Two-Bit right by his side.
Steve lightly punched my arm as he told me to never worry him like that again.
Sodapop told me that they were there for me anytime I needed to cool off or talk to someone.
Sodapop got on Steve's back as they headed to the Curtis's house to do god knows what.
Ponyboy was the most upset out of everyone because he was complaining that just a few hours ago he had told me that I was welcomed no matter what.
Curly didn't really say anything because we weren't that close he just told me to not worry the gang especially Ponyboy.
Curly dragged Ponyboy to the direction where the liquor store was at.
Dally chuckled and said that Ponyboy was not gonna hear the end of it from Darry.
I looked up at Dally and quietly asked,
"So... Dally are we a thing now?"
Dallas furrowed his eyebrows.
'Oh god no I probably made him angry because it should be obvious at this point. Oh god, he's gonna leave or get upset.'
Instead, Dally picked me up and kissed me on the forehead.
He laughed,
"Of course we're a thing Johnnycakes. I mean after that kiss man it'd be kinda hard to go back to just being friends."
I blushed.
'It was so rare to see Dally genuinely laugh at something that wasn't someone getting injured or being scared of him'
He carried me bridal style to Bucks place where there was another party going on but we just went upstairs.
Bucks place
Dally set me down on the bed.
He then proceeded to take off his shirt and just throw it wherever.
"Yo Johnny man you're not gonna take off your shirt?"
I averted my eyes from his.
He didn't need to know that I was embarrassed about all the bruises my dad had given me.
He sat down next to me and grabbed my chin and moved my head towards his.
"Johnny, are you embarrassed about your scars and shit? You know I don't give a fuck about that instead I think they make you look more beautiful. I don't care if you have one of those perfect thin, white, scarless perfect bodies. I love you and all your flaws."
He kissed me on the lips.
I took off my shirt and laid down next to him. My head on his chest and his arms around me.
I cried into his chest knowing that finally someone loved me and I hoped that it wasn't a dream.
The next morning
Dally's POV
I groaned as the sun hit me right in the face.
I felt around and noticed that Johnny wasn't there
"Fuck, Johnny where are you?"
I called out and got no response.
I felt panic rise up as I began to think that it was just all a dream.
Just then the door to the bathroom opened and Johnny came out with his black hair wet and a towel wrapped around his small waist.
I ran up to hug him.
"Man Johnny you almost scared me to death, I thought it was all a dream."
He hugged me back.
"Dally I'm sorry and all but can you wait until I've changed because this could get awkward."
I laughed and forgot he was just in a towel.
I gave him some of my clothes.
I went inside the bathroom so Johnny could change.
A few minutes later I heard him telling me I could come out now.
I opened the door and Johnny looked cute in my baggy clothes.
I blushed and we headed to the Curtis house.
'Yes, me shirtless and Johnny in my baggy ass pajamas. We would never hear the end of it especially from Two-Bit.'
At the Curtis house
Dally's POV
Me and Johnny walked into the house and found everyone laying down Sodapop snuggled up on Steve's chest, Ponyboy and Curly hugging each other and for some reason, Two-Bit looked real upset he was leaning against the couch on the floor and Darry was flipping through the newspaper in his chair.
Me and Johnny took a seat next to Sodapop and Steve.
'Surprisingly Two-Bit made no comment on how we were dressed.'
"Hey, Two aren't you gonna say something about Johnny's clothes?"
He looked up at me and rolled his eyes.
I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What's your problem man?"
He got up and smashed his beer on the floor.
We all jumped back since Two-Bit ain't ever act like this before.
"You know what Dallas shut your trap you ain't know how it feels like having to deal with these types of feelings. You and Johnny get to have yalls fairy tail ending. Everything worked out for y'all just fine. Sodapop and Steve boy they've been dating since middle school. Curly and Ponyboy I don't even know how you two got together but it's sweet. I can't say nothing because this person makes it impossible to tell how they truly feel about things."
He ran out the door and I turned to look at Darry who's face looked like Curly's when he slipped and broke his arm.
He lowered his head and mumbled out a curse.
I was shocked.
I never heard Darry curse.
He ran out after Two-Bit as the rest of us got up from the couch and stared at each other in confusion wondering what had just happened.
