Promises

Promises of better things,

Pieces moved and changed way.

Treachery of swindling opponents.

Chess game that turns you eyes a hazy gray.

Cards fall into the wrong hands,

Shuffled then all astray.

Predictions that turn correct, again.

Left speechless and nothing to say.

Glue held fast onto greater challenges.

Pieces moved and changed way.

Promises of better things.

My attempt at a slightly rhyming poem... I am not particularly proud of it... but it means a lot to me...

Thank you all for supporting me through all of my writing, I appreciate it more than you know!
