Starlight

The moon shined through the window.

I laid my head on my pillow.

I thought back to us in that field.

So much was revealed.

Laying there in the starlight.

Consumed by the night.

You spilled your secrets.

I put together all the pieces.

You always put up a fight.

I remember us under that starlight.

You had your heart on your sleeve.

I was so young and naive.

Consumed by the night.

Laying there in the starlight.

The moon shines through the window.

I lay my head back on my pillow.
