||A Breaching Union?||

----×----

“Nandini, I'm meeting with Shanaya for a coffee, do you want to tag along?” Avidaan asked in spite of knowing what will be Nandini's reply, on the breakfast table as the four of them had their breakfast at 10 in the morning. It had already been three and a half weeks since Avidaan and Nandini were in Mumbai now. Nandini and Avidaan talked to Manik about going back to Nandini's place to lessen the burden on the cousins but he simply denied stating the reason that they had less time with Nandini after these nine years and they all wanted to live it to the fullest.

Nothing much had changed for any of them. It slipped off Avidaan's mind to ask Nandini about her past after that night and even if he remembered he decided to ignore it for Nandini's sake as he had gauged that particular talk made her uncomfortable by the way she had avoided him for straight two days after that night. Later he spoke to her as if that question was never asked ever before and things fell back to the same place as they were.

Keyword: Same place

They were away from everything to move ahead of that place but that looked like a herculean task for the duo taken into consideration Nandini's resistance. Nandini had not yet realised that the thread pulling her back was Manik and thus she refused to acknowledge any problem in hers and Avidaan's relationship. All that she knew was that she had to get married to Avidaan. The thought just scared her and nothing more.

While she remained a sorted kind of mess, Manik was altogether in a different zone.

Manik's feelings seemed to have no boundaries now that they kept growing with the passing days and clearly making him aware that as the wedding approaches he's going to go nuts for sure. He loved spending time with her in his conscious mind while she did it subconsciously. He was totally alert about the fact that she is not here to stay and yet he could not help but to get attached to her in ways that they never knew they could be in.

“Nope. I'll stay back, I cannot bear a glance at her forget getting a cup of coffee with her.” she replied making a tired face. Avidaan chuckled at that expression and decided not to stretch it only if he could because he had his cousins to pester him in all conditions especially Cabir.

“Who's Shanaya? Nandini seems to be interested in her a lot.” Cabir asked with a smirk in his tone to which Nandini threw a bored look and Manik laughed silently.

“It's a kind of...” Nandini was about to say something but was cut off by her very own to-be-husband.

“She, Nandini. Not it. She was our classmate in medical school and I used to date her in our third year.” he replied to Cabir after rectifying Nandini. He stood up as he finished eating to leave and turned not before kissing the top of Nandini's head while she kissed his cheek and let him head out. Manik pretended to not see cause even the minutest way of their PDA irked him while Cabir remained the one who was well aware of what's in his mind but also the one who conveniently ignored it as well.
