“I'm not going to even try to pretend that all that you did few moments ago did not happen so just explain yourself. I really wanna know what has gotten into you Mr.  Malhotra that you're behaving worse than an animal?” Nandini asked in a composed manner but that did not mean that she sounded any bit of weak or not thrilling. Avidaan frowned at that tone.

“You, fucking whore. You really have that audacity to even ask me that, huh?” he screamed.

“Bastard. Don't you dare!” Manik yelled back leaping again to smash down his face just to be stopped by Nandini. “Manik, no. Please. Let me handle this.” she pleaded looking into his eyes. His face did not agree to it but eventually he gave in to leaving it to her to deal with. She turned back to Avidaan clearly hurt visible from every cell of her body. She wanted to run away in real from this, hoping for it to be a dream but alas it wasn't and neither was she a sissy to ignore that level of insult.

Friends do have the power to hurt you at places where it would never heal without them.

Get him back to talk to me.” she requested as tears gushed out like a waterfall yet managing to stand firm on her legs. It killed Manik to look at her in that state. Even though he was busy hating Avidaan all the while since they were back he had not missed on noticing what did he mean to Nandini. Manik could completely gauge what Nandini must be feeling right now. Yet, he couldn't do anything because he had to give this space to Nandini so that she deals it by herself, to become stronger that she was already.

“Fuck the friendship. It was all fake. I just was doing that to keep you close to me.” his anger did not seem to subside. Nandini's every part was like paralysed hearing that. He uttered those words with so much of ease that it was hard to not believe in it.
