How can you tell the turtles are having a rougher day?

 And what could their S/O do to help them feel better or relieve stress?  

You can usually tell when Leo and Raph are having a rough day. If they haven't ripped into each other by then, then either Raph's pounding away at a punching bag, or Leo's stuck pacing around the dojo, trying to practice some katas but keeps getting sidetracked.

Both would look tired and done, so you'd have to tread carefully.

With Leo, you just have to be invited. He's not a fan of being dropped in on, so you'd have to knock first to let him let you in (both figuratively and literally.) He'll know its you, but he wouldn't turn to meet you just yet, or maybe he'd just fix you with a tired blank stare. You'd walk up to him and take him by the hand, and soon enough he'll wrap his arms around you. Chances are, you two would spend most of the time there, sitting around in Leo's lap and letting him vent as much as he can while you leave loving strokes along his arms.

With Raph, you gotta approach very cautiously. He ain't punching the lights out of that bag because he's happy. Though once he sees you, his features soften. He's still tense, so he won't go to you instantly. You'll have to take the hint and wait, so when you sit down to watch him, he returns to his workout. You know you can't baby him when he's like this, and you can't show him any sign of pity or he'll shut you out. So you watch him, and wait. He'll finally come over to you and plop down on his knees, burying his face into your lap from both exhaustion and the desire to touch you. You'd run your hand over his mask; finally asking if he wanted to take a shower or a nap first. He'd mumble a reply, but with how tight he's holding you, you know he's bent on keeping you close by.

When Donnie's having a rough day, he retreats to his lab. And nothing will get him out, unless its bathroom breaks or food runs, and even then he'll barely spare you a glance. Barging in on him or forcing your way into his lab wouldn't be a great idea. So, the only way to try and communicate with him, is through text. Yeah, he won't talk to you face to face, but he'll respond to some of the shitty memes you send him, and he'll appreciate that you're trying to cheer him up while respecting his choice to privacy. If his heart starts working again, he'll feel a little lonely and would ask for you to come over. His mood would only improve once he sees that you not only came, but you brought his favorite snacks to share. You'd spend the time in his bedroom cuddled up.

Mikey's rough days will have him a little emotional and in need of affection, so its a matter of time before he seeks you out. Before you, he'd dealt with his tough times by blasting loud music, or napping. Though with you here, he's quick to drop by, immediately coming up to scoop you in his arms and bury his face into your shoulder. You offer to listen to him talk about his day, and he'd talk for a while, before pulling you over to go doze off in the bedroom. Apparently some coping mechanisms never change, but he sleeps a lot better when you're curled up in his arms.
