Recap:

"I have, but there's one problem. I've found several legends of a necklace that can reveal if someone is your soulmate. But while I was searching to see if it had any truth, I found out who has it. It's not good Sirena."

"So you found it, it's real, and we just have to get it, right?" Viviane nods. Sirena continues, "We have fought many battles together and so has the crew. Why are you scared? Who has the necklace?"

"Rumplestiltskin," she answers after a long silence. "Rumplestiltskin has the necklace at his castle."

----------------------------

Sirena spins on her heel and sprints to the main deck. When she gets there, she searches wildly for the captain before spotting him. She races to him and pulls him away from his crew members.

"Hey, what are you doing, lass?" he protests, trying to free his arm from her iron grip.

"We have a problem, captain. Come with me," she replies. The captain silences as he takes in the terrified look in her eyes. He nods and follows her back to his quarters. When they arrive, Sirena shuts the door and starts pacing in the room while Killian sits on his desk.

"Okay, what is wrong, Sirena? Can you explain what happened?"

Sirena stops "Viviane found us something that can tell us if we are soulmates, but it's going to be very hard to get."

He stands up and places his hands on her arms in an attempt to calm her and get her attention back from her spiraling thoughts. "We can get it, lass. Trust me. My crew has taken things most thought were impossible to steal. Why do you think it will be hard to get?"

Her eyes finally meet his and she takes in a shaking breath. "Rumplestiltskin has it in his castle."

To Sirena's surprise, Hook grins and starts laughing. "This is perfect!" he cheers and spins Sirena around, ignoring her confused expression.

Sirena rips her hand from his and glares at him. "It is far from perfect. How could you even think that? Rumplestiltskin will never let us walk out of his castle with something of his."

'I've been hunting the crocodile for years, lass. I know his weaknesses, and I actually have a weapon against him." He goes to a chest and pulls out a bottle with a small amount of black liquid. "It's not very much, but this squid ink can keep him from moving. Hopefully, long enough to find this..."

"Necklace," she supplies.

"This necklace that will tell us our fate. We just have to be sure to leave before it wears off."

Sirena's face breaks into a big grin. "I have something that can help." She walks to the trunk she packed in her cave and pulls out a bigger bottle of black liquid. "I have friends in high places," she explains as she hands it to the captain. "This will make sure we have plenty of time."

Killian's eyes lit up. They had a real chance now. "That is amazing lass!" he cheers as he sets the bottle next to his on his desk. "We will make a real plan tomorrow, but for now, let's go celebrate. To the mess hall!"

Sirena giggles at his antics, but lets him take her hand and lead her to the mess hall to enjoy some rum in celebration. In Killian's case, that meant a lot of rum, but Sirena didn't mind. The crew would be happy at the announcement, so the night would be a jovial one.

----------------------------

When a person drinks an excessive amount of rum at night, the following morning is always interesting and full of mysteries. Sirena had found her own mystery to solve. She had started stirring from the sunlight streaming on her face. But what really woke her up was the weight on her waist and the warmth pressing against her back. Someone else was in the bed, and she didn't know who. She froze in place, afraid of waking the person.

In an attempt to solve the mystery, she looks down at the arm and notices something that makes her stifle a gasp. The arm that is wrapped around her is missing its hand. In place of a hand is some sort of a brace that Sirena immediately recognizes. Hook is in the same bed as her. Shit.

Before Sirena could react any more, he starts to stir, pulling her tight to his chest. She peels his arm off of her and sneaks out of the bed before he can wake up fully. Her thoughts try to go back to the previous night, but she can't remember anything after going to the mess hall with the captain. However, she notices that she is still fully clothed and the captain appears to only be missing his jacket. She releases a sigh in relief.

"Are you okay, lass?" she hears a groggy voice ask from the bed.

"I'm fine!" she replies with a little too much force and an unconvincing fake smile.

Hook sits up from the bed and runs his hand over his face. He changes the subject, yawning, "So how did I end up here last night? Did you let me take the bed? You know I gave it to you, right?"

She lets out a nervous laugh. "I thought it fair that you took the bed last night, seeing how you drank much more than I did. I was fine on the floor," she lies, walking to her bag to avoid his gaze.

"I see. Well, thank you, lass. But you really did not have to do that. You're a lady, so you should have the best."

She laughs sincerely, "Believe me, captain. I am far from being a lady. Besides, as I've said before: it's not fair that you should give up your bed."

"I am happy to, lass. Because I am-"

"A gentleman. I know. You've said it before," she interrupts with a grin, the worry from earlier melting away.

"Exactly! Now, shall we get ready for a day of planning? We must catch the crocodile by surprise if we want that necklace." He grins back at her before turning to his wardrobe and finding fresh clothes.

Sirena turns to her bag but hears a door close behind her. She turns to see what the captain was doing but doesn't see him. She smiles as she realizes he left the quarters so she could change in privacy. She had had enough awkwardness with the captain for the day so she was glad for the gesture.

AN: Sorry for such the long break, guys. It's been a long semester. I'm probably going to be writing a lot during break though, so that's good news for you! Vote and comment your suggestions!
