Recap:

"Getting my magic back is part of my freedom. I'm just asking for that in advance. And I told you, Belle and I are willing to let you place whatever spell you want on us to make sure we're keeping our deal. But I would really like to not die trying to get you the dagger. So?" she trails off, holding out her arm again.

He purses his lips, considering his options. Then he holds out his hand to shake hers. "You've got yourself a deal."

Both of them grin at the prospect of being free again. Sirena would be free from this cell and the magic cuff. The Dark One would be free from being controlled by the dagger should anyone find it.

----------------------------

It had been a few days since Pan decided to help the captain. The tension was high between the boy and the crew. Pan mostly kept to himself in the cell below deck. There were no spare rooms and though there was a truce, no one wanted to room with him. He was free to leave the cell when he wanted, but he thought it better to stay away from the crew.

He was playing his pipe to pass the time when he heard shouting from the deck. He set his pipe down and ran up the stairs to see what the commotion was. His shadow was flying above the men, holding another shadow in a net.

He let out a Lost Boy crow. "You found him! Great job, shadow. Bring him here." The shadow obeyed, tying a strap from the net to the mast of the ship.

"So that is the Dark One's shadow, eh?" Killian asks as he walks up to Pan.

"That it is. Now I just have to extract the memory from him and we can be on our way."

"How are you going to do that?"

"Magic, pirate. You may have heard of it?"

His sharp words anger the men. They step towards the boy, but the captain raises his hand to stop them. "Now, now, men. He's here to help, so leave him be." The men reluctantly go back to their places. Killian gestures for Pan to continue.

"Right. I'll get on with it, then." He motions to his shadow, who grabs the head of the Dark One's shadow to keep it still. Pan places a hand where the shadow's forehead would be and begins reciting a spell that Killian doesn't understand. Swirls of light circle the shadow's head before they flow towards Pan's head. The light is absorbed by Pan as he finishes the spell.

"I know where the dagger is. Shadow, take him to Neverland and keep him locked up. We can't have him warning the crocodile."

"So where are we headed, Pan?" the captain asks, growing impatient.

"The Enchanted Forest. Sort of."

"What do you mean by 'sort of'?"

"We can't get to the dagger from here directly. We need to go to the Enchanted Forest to find a portal."

"A portal to where, exactly?" Hook demands.

"Wonderland. The dagger is in Wonderland."

----------------------------

"So how exactly are we going to find this dagger? The Dark One doesn't even know where it is!" Belle sighs in exasperation.

"Relax, I have my magic back now," Sirena assures her as the pair hike through the forest.

"So? If Rumplestiltskin can't find it with his magic, how are you supposed to?"

"The Dark One's magic is powerful, true. But mermaid magic is unique. I can do things he can't. For example, I know a locator spell that can lead us to an object. Normal locator spells can only lead you to people."

"But it isn't yours. Will the spell still work?"

"Yup. I just needed something of the person who owns the object. And I've got that right here," the mermaid says as she pulls a chipped teacup from her bag.

"Where did you get this?" Belle asks, her eyes softening as she remembers the day she chipped the cup.

"We walked past it on the way out. I figured he wouldn't notice a broken cup missing."

Belle's face drops, believing her. "Yeah, you're probably right. Well, let's get started. Can you do the spell now?"

"Not yet. We need to find something to travel between realms. If I know anything about shadows, it's that they don't do anything the easy way. It won't be anywhere we can get to by water, even though I can travel to different realms. We need to visit an old friend of mine. She'll have something we can use."

"Okay, so where are we going first?"

"The sea. We have to go to a different realm to get to her. Luckily, this is one I can get to by water."

"But what realm are we going to?" Belle groans.

"Have you ever been to Oz?" Sirena smirks.
