*Hah! I added one more chapter to surprise you!*

The two armies marched as loud as they could. It might've been impossible to hear them. They marched with determination through the day. During the march, they stopped at a chef who recognized Kris, and gave him as many cakes as possible to feed the army. They grabbed the cakes and marched to a quiet place and camped there for the hour.

The two groups talked about their lives and some became allies. The 4 leaders watched as allies were formed and friendships were made. Susie felt something touch her arm. She looked to see Lancer.

L: Susie, can we talk in private?

S: Uhh...sure.

The two walked to a candy tree and walked behind it where noone could see them. After they settled and got quiet, they finally started talking.

S: So, what is it?

L: Susie...I don't know how to say these simple words without feeling uneasy or queezy.

S: L...Lancer?

Lancer closed his eyes and held out a small envelope. There was a black spade holding it together. Susie, having a feeling of uneasiness, opened the letter and read the note inside:

"Dear Susie:

Since we met, I knew there was something different about you. It wasn't because you were lightener, or you were strong, or anything I could say. You made me feel special. Like I mattered. I waited to say these things to you before you left, but I became scared. I held off, before realizing that you might never come back. Now that you're back, I'm forcing myself to say this. I love you.

                                Signed, Lancer

This was where the sinking feeling came from. Now Susie felt sorry and hoped Lancer understood.

S: Lancer...

L: Y..yes?

Lancer hoped that she felt the same. That she shared this feeling with her. But he was wrong.

S: I'm with Kris. I know this may come as a shock, but we've loved each other before we even got together. I'm sorry Lancer.

L: O-oh. Yeah I understand.

Lancer avoided all eye contact with Susie to prevent him from crying. He simply turnrd around and started walking away.

S: Lancer?

He started walking faster.

S: Lancer!

He finally broke out into a full run. To run away from everything. From all problems. He just wanted to be alone.

S: Oh no... It's my fault, isn't it?

Susie ran back to the army.

K: Susie? What is it?

S: It's Lancer. He just ran away.

K: Why would he do that?

S: Because he loves me. And I rejected him.

This stopped Kris's heart. No matter what happened, he didn't predict this.

K: Maybe he just wants some alone time. He should be back in an hour or so.

S: Are you sure?

K: I've been rejected enough to know. He should be back.

The army became silent overhearing the conversation.

K: Carry on everyone!

*Kris's mind*

Oh god. Why in the mother of god did I not see this?
