The Guardians/Kris x Susie: Chapter 1 - Part 1

Strange how time in the Underworld lines up perfectly with the time in the Overworld. The Armada rested at a plain not too far off from the Castle. They established that when tomorrow hits, they attack at dawn. They thought the time was strange considering that Kris and Susie wouldn't say why(This is because Kris promised Toriel that he'd be back right at 12:00).

S: Kris?

K: Yeah Susie?

S: What are we gonna tell people about us? Noone back home knows about it.

K: Well, no matter what people say, we'll be together.

S: You promise?

K: I promise.

S: Thanks.

They both maintained eye contact for a minute before breaking the silence once more.

S: I broke Lancer's heart.

K: You were honest. At least you were that.

S: I know, but why is all this happening? Why did we promise to be here for the weekend, and then start a war? We don't even know if we'll win. What happens if either of us die?

K: If you died, I'd carry you back home. No matter how hard it'd be without crying.

S: Not that my parents even care about me.

K: What makes you say that.

The silence overtook the conversation in an awkward way. If Susie doesn't wanna talk, then I won't make her, Kris said in before retreating to the ground.

K: Whatever it is, I won't force you to tell me.

S: Thank you. For everything, really.

K: No prob. See you in the morning.

S: See ya. Love you.

K: Love you too.

It wasn't long before Kris was sound-asleep in his blanket. Susie watched him as thoughts ran through her mind. Suddenly, she heard footsteps coming from the darkness. She grabbed her axe in defense of it was an enemy.

A small puppy child shown himself. She had a green satchel with a letter in her hand. Like a delivery-person.

**: I've come with news from the citizens of Castle Town. This is to Susie.

Susie grabbed the letter in confusion. She didn't know anyone in the village. Except Noelle.

S: Umm..thank you.

**: Now, I'll be on my way.

The child walked back into the darkness. Strange, Susie thought as she looked at the letter. It looked neatly put together. An adult must've sent this, She thought as she cut open the letter. An paper was inside, and Susie took it out and read the contents:

Dear Susie:

As I write this to you, I am safe inside the catacombs with the others. However, this is not why I write to you. I'm writing to you to say that I say you and Kris kissing before you left. Safe to say I was a little broken. So, I say this...

What was written next startled Susie. She couldn't believe herself and folded the note back inside. She crawled over and got under Kris's covers with him. For now, she needed to sleep on it. Tomorrow would be a new day for the two...
