6:30 P.M.
Kris had Susie over for dinner. For that night, Toriel baked a fresh butterscotch pie.
T: I hope you like it!
Susie stared at the pie for a few seconds. She never really was served pie, but then again...
Susie grabbed her slice and slowly took a bite. A smile slowly formed, and the atmosphere in the room lightened.
S: This is really good!
T: I'm glad you like it!
Kris couldn't help but smile at the two. While all the madness was happening, at least a mother's pie was enough to get her to smile. He grabbed his slice and took his bite.
K: Never gets old.
T: Well, I use the same recipe.
Kris gave Tori a "Really?" look before he focused on the pie. Toriel giggled before eating. After eating, Susie got up from her chair.
S: Well, I should get going.
K: True. It's getting late.
S: Well ma'am, I enjoyed the pie.
T: Thank you. Just come by anytime. I'll be happy to bake another slice.
Susie walked out into the yard with Kris following her. They walked into the four-way where they met hours ago.
S: I enjoyed this time.
K: You're always welcome here.
As he said this, Susie started tearing up.
K: What's wrong?
S: N-nothing. It's just..I never really get anything at home. I never had any friends, so I had noone growing up. That's why when you told me, I knew we were similar.
K: Then...
Kris held out his hand.
K: Come back. I have the stuff for another bed. Stay for the night.
S: I can't. I'd just become a burden to you.
Kris held Susie's cheek.
K: You never were a burden to me. And you never will be.
They then connected for a kiss. They were lost in a daze. Then, they heard a voice from behind them.
?: Susie? It's time to get..
Susie turned around to see a figure, like her, standing. He looked older, rougher, and more torn.
S: D-dad?
D: Who's that?
Kris stepped forward. Susie looked lost for words.
S: He's..my boyfriend.
D: Your...what?
K: You heard that damn right.
D: Sweetie. What did I tell you about friends, let alone boyfriends?
Susie looked down at the ground, her hair covering her hair.
S: To not have them.
D: Precisely. Now tell the human twig to get lost and let's go home.
Kris slowly turned to face the man.
K: I'm...sorry?
S: I'm sorry Kris..I really am.
K: I..
D: Good. Let's go.
S: I...don't want to.
D: Say that again?
S: No!
He quickly cocked his hand back and...
*SMACK*
*Kris Pov*
He hit her...He..fucking...hit her.
I..can't stand for this. I won't let him...
Wait..
Is that why Susie never had friends? Because of that scumbag?
*3rd pov*
Without thinking, Kris leaped forward and hit the man in his head. He stumbled back from the blow, then stared him down.
D: You're dying tonight.
S: No! Stop!
Her father turned back around and hurt her in her head, causing her to go to the ground.
HEY!
In the nick of time, Undyne say the event happen. They both stood still. Undyne quickly tackled him and started cuffing him.
U: What do you have yo say for yourself?
D: She's my daughter. I can do whatever I damn well please with her.
U: That isn't how the world works, punk!
She got him on his feet and started walking him to the Police Station. Kris walked over and got Susie on her feet.
K: Are you ok?
S: N-no. I think I'm bleeding.
K: You are.
A small pebble was lodged in her arm, blood streaming down her arm.
K: Damn him. I have a first aid kit back home.
S: No..I got it.
Susie slowly took out the pebble from her arm, gritting her teeth slightly.
K: Jesus, what were you thinking? I have to clean you up.
Kris walked her back to his home, quietly cursing the man out. To try drowning it out however, he started quietly singing:
Step in front of a runaway train
Just to feel alive again
Pushing forward through the night
Aching chest and blurry sight
It's so far, so far away
It's so far, so far away...
