After almost 5 hours in the car, we arrived at the place I never thought I'd see again. The car parked in front of a house I dreaded seeing, a house I swore to myself to never let Mira close to ever again. Standing by the door, the man that terrified me completely, my absolute nightmare, with his arms folded, watching the car intently. I faced in front of me and tightened my arms around Mira, holding her tightly because I was scared. I really was so scared about her. The doors of the car opened and men I recognized as Uncle Gordon's buddies, reached in and grabbed my arm pulling me out. I pulled Mira's hearing aid out and pushed her face into my shoulder so that she doesn't see her dad. She was so terrified, she didn't argue, just grabbed tightly onto my clothes. It's easier to go with what they want rather than struggle, especially when my main priority right now is keeping Mira in my arms.
"Look at me," Uncle Gordon said, taking a step forward confidently "Didn't even last a year in prison. You think law was going to help you get away? You think taking her guardianship means shit? Don't even fucking dream about it, I can get you to do anything I want whenever I want it and sending me to jail was not a smart step."
"You want to kill me right?" I looked at him, taking a step back when he took one forward. "You're angry at me and I'm the one you want to hurt, you don't have to hurt her. Let me take her somewhere else and I'll come back to you."
"That's the thing, bastard, you're so full of shit, I expected to hear disgusting words like that. I am angry at you and you are the one I want to hurt and what better way than to do it through the girl?"
"No!"
"Have you forgotten how much I despise her maybe? How seeing her dead corpse would make me so fucking pleased?"
I felt my breath being held "You can't, you can't. Don't-don't say stuff like that. Dont touch her."
Uncle Gordon laughed at my order like it was the funniest thing ever. I hate this. I hate this so much.
"Meet my friends, Yun." He said "You must recognize these two but the last on is Michael, I met him thanks to you, in jail."
I didn't even bother looking at any of them.
"So thats the legendary kid that sent you to jail in order to steal your daughter huh?" I heard another guy, probably Michael, scoff. "He does have an annoying look in his eye, makes me want to see if he will have it once that little girl is ripped out of his arms."
"Don't dare." I threatened through my teeth as I glared at him.
"Oh, look at that. He's a lot more bold when he's addressing someone that's not you." Michael told Uncle Gordon "That's fun."
"Take her." Uncle Gordon said simply and suddenly all three men started walking towards me. I held Mira tighter. I can't hit them while holding her and even if I wasn't, they didn't look like they could easily be hit, especially all of them together. One of them grabbed Mira's arm and she screamed, tightening her grip around me.
I raised on arm to hit him but he held it with his other hand "If you don't want me to break her arm, leave her now."
My heart sank at that. That bastard just threatened to break the arm of a 4 year old?
"Leave her." I whispered
He tugged on her arm, making me take a step forward so that he doesn't pull it strongly "You're the one who has to let go or else she gets it."
I felt someone grab my hair tightly, right at the back of my head, pulling me backwards as the other one yanked on Mira, I felt obliged to let go instantly or else she'd be seriously hurt. The man dragged her across the ground with her arm as she screamed and cried, trying to reach out for me. I wish I could burn all these men and run to her. I want to hold her and never ever let go. The thought of her being this close to Uncle Gordon without me was going to drive me insane.
