*EDITED AGAIN*

Nico Di Angelo

This is what we, demigods, are trained for: Obeying your godly parents so they wouldn't ignore you and you could pray for them for guidance and help. (sometimes the help thing works)

As me and Percy dashed through woods, leaped from root to root and ducked several branches (that would have decapitated me if I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD. So thanks, dad.). I was starting to slow down. We had been running for minutes, but my body was so exhausted that it felt like hours. Thanks to a blood-chilling roar from behind us, we picked up speed and ran for our lives.

It was a bright and sunny day, which was kind of insulting since we were right at death's doorstep.

I know, I know. I'm the son of Hades, the Ghost King. I spend more hours with dead people than the living, but that doesn't mean I wanted to die and be with them forever. Besides, I don't want to spend eternity in my father's palace hearing constant arguing from my him and my stepmom, and Demeter being all like "Hades, your son looks like death! He needs more cereal!".

So, yeah. I fear dying thank you very much.

From a distance I saw a huge trunk casting a gloomy shape on the floor, perfect for two people.

"Hold on." I took Percy's hand, which would have given me sparks and the eerie butterflies in my gut would go mad.

Take note: would have.

You see, in the last few months, I have been annoyed with this good-looking, maddening, bothersome, irritating, provoking (well, you get what I mean) demigod so called Will Solace, and for somehow, he has became responsible for my sparks and ghost butterflies.

Anyway, back to the present.

At first, Percy looked at me with confusion, but when he saw the shadow a few feet away from us, he nodded. We ran towards it and as I closed my eyes and together we plunged into darkness.

When I opened my eyes, we were at Lincoln Park in Washington D.C. I was so dazed and tired, I didn't even have the strength to yank my right hand that was intertwined with Percy's left.

Thank gods we didn't plunge in another volcano. Trust me. I had my experiences.

Percy didn't even had time to catch his breath when we heard a massive-

ROAR!!!

Percy hauled me to my feet. "Come on, Nico. C'mon!". I forced myself to stand up, dark spots danced on my eyes, but I managed to ran along with Percy.

"How.. did he... even get here" he panted. I didn't know either. From what I knew we shadow traveled at least a hundred miles from the forest. We didn't have enough time to find out why, because we were so busy running away from our deaths.

We saw mortals, who stared at us in confusion, but when they glance back onto what was chasing us, they scream and ran for their lives. Whatever it is that they saw in the Mist, thank the gods they did. Nothing would have been more terrifying than running from whatever it is that we demigods saw.

It was a good thing that the others were far away, and were safe and sound on the Argo II , while me and Percy had a family bonding with the vicious monster grandfather or great grandfather..or is it great great?

Who you may ask the monster is?

Typhon.

Yes that Typhon. Who the gods defeated last Titan war. Described as a freak storm by mortals. Described as a nightmare by me.
