julias pov
a lot of cheers surrounded the atmosphere. why? today is the semi-final of my boyfriend's basketball game.
he looked charming while scoring every single goal. he was the best basketball player there ever was in our school.
while in the second round, jaehyun sent a wink before throwing a final shot and goal!! our school won!
"julia!! did you see me! i looked cool right?!" jaehyun ran up to me, hugging me tight.
"you looked really cool, im proud of you." i smiled, blushing slightly.
"you were cheering loudly too." he smiled and brought our faces an inch closer, then our lips met.
2 days later.
today is jaehyun's birthday. ah, i can't believe he has grown up so much.
i walk in the school's classroom to find jaehyun texting someone, smiling wide. it looked suspicious but i had other thoughts in mind.
"hey jaehyun!"
"h-huh? oh Julia..what is it?.."
"wait for me in the basketball field, i have something to show you." i smiled at him.
"a-alright, ill be in the boys locker room."
and as of that, i walked away.
i ran to fields and waited for jaehyun, those number of minutes i waited for him turned to hours.
i was tired. where was he?
did he have something urgent to tell me about that he forgot to say?
"Julia!"
jaehyun?!
i turned around, hoping to see jaehyun-
oh, it's taeyong.
"uh? y-yes?"
"it's already time to go home, why are you still here?"
"oh..really?.."
taeyong nodded in reply.
"alright."
i stood up from the bleachers and walked outside.
i walked outside the school to see jaehyun and..minji..m-making out..
why?..
tears streamed down my face in anger as i ran towards the 'couple' and slapped jaehyun.
he looked shocked.
"wait ba-"
"shut up, jaehyun. it's over, don't ever talk to me again." i muttered out and ran back home only to come back with puffy eyes and a stuffy nose.
i didn't know why he would do this.
out of all people, why minji?
he knew i hated her? then why be with her?
i cried myself to sleep and couldn't move on.
i silently cried when i walked past minji and jaehyun. i hated how he chose someone who couldn't do anything better but just bully and make up rumors.
after a few weeks of avoiding jaehyun, i eventually moved on.
today is finally our graduation day, full of tears, happiness and despair too.
all i did was stare.
i graduated and moved to america.
we stayed in new york and finally decided to set in chicago.
third person pov
it has been 5 years ever since julia moved. her mom planned on going back to korea for a week and julia agreed.
julia pov
"sweetie!" my mom spoke softly
"yesss, mom?" i answered
"we're going back to korea for a week, are you ok with that?"
"of course! darlingg, are you excited?" i smiled at my now-husband.
"duhhh, id love to visit my wifes hometown." he grinned.
we went to the airport and got on board.
the view was breathtaking as usual, skies are blue, birds chirping and beautiful outskirts of the cities, fields and towns.
after the 3 long hour board, we finally moved in my old home and packed out our bags.
"do you know who's visiting us?" my mom asked smiling.
"uh, who??" i tilted my head, unknown of who was gonna be invited.
"jaehyun!" my mom smiled.
oh.
"get ready! wouldn't want to be looking baggy." my mom chuckled, running off to the kitchen.
after a few minutes, he finally arrived.
"ahhhh! jaehyun you've grown so much." my mom hugged jaehyun, continuing to hug his mom.
jaehyun just smiled.
"come sit down." my mom offered.
as jaehyun sat down, he glanced at me as his eyes softened.
"ah, do you mind me and your mom leaving you two together for awhile? we plan on going gardening." my mom mentioned and we didn't mind.
jaehyun looked down after our parents left.
"hey, julia."
"yeah?.." i respond.
"i just wanted to say im sorry for cheating on you..i.."
"that's the past jaehyun, forget it." i rolled my eyes.
now he's asking for an apology? too late.
"i was wondering if you could take me ba-"
"darling im ready! oh, are you jaehyun?" jaehyun interrupted.
jaehyun gulped.
"y-yes im jaehyun."
johnny sat beside me and planted a peck on my cheek, snuggling me.
"i suppose you two are datin-"
"married." i cut him off.
he was shocked.
a little 'oh' escaped his lips, and looked down.
he regretted letting her go.
he really did.
