I walked to my highschool, curiously watching everyone with suspicious eyes. My red thin tail and horns were the only things that separated me from being a human.

It was a lovely Friday, and I sat down in Ms.Alphys' room, staring at all the peculiar monsters.

Then the door opened.

" A.. Ah! Kris, welcome back. You and Susie took a while to come back to class yesterday.... " Alphys said with a stutter. I watched Kris carefully.

Kris. Frisk without the F, how clever.

He sat down in the seat next to me, and looked at me curiously. Another person came in.

" S... Susie! " Alphys stuttered. " T... Take a... Take a seat. "

Susie waved at Kris with a smile, before sitting down behind me. She tapped me on the shoulder.

I not-so-subtly smacked her in the face with my tail.

" Hello? I'm Y/N, what is it you want?" I said suspiciously.

" Damn, your tail is sharp. " Her nose was bleeding from the cut I had given it.

Alphys quickly sent me, Kris, and Susie to the nurse.

" Hey, come join us. " Susie said, pointing her thumb towards the closet.

" But the nurses office is that way. "

" I know. Me and Kris spend our day in here though. Come on it'll be fun. "

" Fine. " I replied, following them into the dim closet. " It's so dark. " I said.

I bumped into someone. " Sorry, Kris. "

Kris just shrugged. " Wait..... Here it is! Hold onto your asses, you two! " Susie exclaimed.

The floor started breaking, and I grabbed onto Kris in fear. We fell through, and landed on the ground.

" Fuck- What the.... " I looked around the new world in fear. " This looks like.... "

" Like the Darkner World?! I know isn't it dope?! " Susie yelled in excitement. " Kris, Y/N, lets go. "

" I can't. I can't, let me out of here. " I said, starting to breathe heavily. " This... "

" Woah, what's wrong? "

" This is too similar to that place. "

" Here. Maybe meeting Ralsei will help. " Susie said, before Kris picked me up and started walking.

" Put me down- What in the- "

I looked ahead and saw a spade flying towards us. In a panic, I raised my hand and created a blood red shield.

Susie screamed. " LANCER! " She ran ahead.

Kris started running as well, as I grabbed the shield. " Fuckin sick.... " I muttered, before Kris stopped in his tracks.

I saw a little white figure up ahead. Susie and some chubby little blue figure were talking to it.

The white figure walks towards us.

" Hello, I'm Ralsei! "

" Asriel. "

" What? " Ralsei asked curiously.

" You're Asriel. You look like him. Your name is an anagram of his. "

" Who is Asriel? "

" N.. No one. You wouldn't understand. I apologize, just ignore my rambling. I'm Y/N. Y/N L/N. "

" I've heard of you! You were in an old legend I found in my library a long time ago, I think you were the soul of- "

" I know. The SOUL of PERSEVERANCE. " I replied with a sigh. Kris and Susie had already begun eating a cake Ralsei had made.

" Interesting. Very peculiar indeed, I believed you were a myth! " Ralsei chirped, smiling.

" Don't tell anyone. I'm here for a reason. You can't tell anyone that I have a SOUL. " I said shakily.
