Ben x Maine- Best Friends

(( sksksk so uh this is kinda weird to be writing bout my crush but suck my dick if you don't like it so ))

She hated it. She hated it so bad- so bad!

Maine walked down the hallways, talking to her friends, Jazlyn and Kordai. Trailing behind them was their other classmates and a few seventh/eight graders.

She laughed, before yelling out, 'Race you!', and running into the classroom. She threw her stuff across her table, waving at her teacher, and skipping out of the classroom. She waved to her other friends, Amara, (who she considered her mom),  and Isabelle, (who she considered her aunt).

Maine giggled, before turning back around to walk down the hall. She stops in her tracks, seeing the cutest boy ever. 

She knew him, well not really. She knew his name, and his passion for math problems.

His name was Ben.

And dear god, did she have a crush on him. Ridiculous, really.

Maine turned around, bolting back into the classroom and nearly running into Jazlyn on the way in.

Jazlyn jumped, laughing as she noticed what Maine had been running from.  She ran out of the classroom, ignoring Maine's pleas for her to leave him alone.

" Ben! BenTen! BenTennessee!!!! " Jazlyn ran up and gave Ben a giant hug. Maine could see him smile a little. 

" Maine- Look! It's my best frienddd! " Jazlyn yelled, laughing.

She facepalmed, groaning as she ran out to drag her best friend off her crush. She tugged on Jazlyn's hand, trying to save them both from the embarrassment that Jazlyn had caused in the middle of the hallway.

The bell rang loudly, causing Maine to sigh in relief. Ben waved at Maine, causing her to blush and immediately tug Jazlyn down the hall. She repeatedly hit her, saying words like 'Why?!',  and 'Are you kidding?!'

Jazlyn just laughed.

Timeskip.

Maine walked up the stairs to the library, waving at Jazlyn, who was waiting for her. She waved, blinking a few times as she walked into the library.

She barely even noticed her crush staring at her from the computers.

She sat down at her usual table, cracking joked with Jazlyn. That is, until Ben walked over. He was holding a stack of Uno Cards.

He held the cards up, smiling. " Wanna play Uno, you two? " He said sweetly.

Maine just about had a heart attack on the damn spot. Jazlyn nodded, sitting down as Ben sat down right next to Maine.

He shuffled the cards, and handed them out.

" Let's begin war, shall we? " Ben said.

This was gonna suck so bad.

Timeskip.

It was the fourth time that week they had played Uno together.

" Draw four, choose red, draw two, draw two, draw four more, yellow, draw two, uno, uno out! " Maine yelled throughout the library, throwing her cards on the table and Jazlyn laughed.

Ben watched in horror as he picked up all the cards, before throwing them at Maine. He laughed along with them as she jumped around, giggling.

" Maine, can I uh... Talk to you really quick? " Ben said. Maine stopped jumping. She turned towards Jazlyn with a terrified expression.

Jazlyn just shrugged.  " Go on, best friend. I don't need two bffs, so be friends. "

' I'm gonna strangle you, Jaz. ' Maine thought, as she turned around and walked with Ben to the secluded corner of the library.

" I uh..... " Ben stammered over his words.

" I really like you. I wanna be more than friends, and- "

" Oh my god. " Maine murmured.

" What?! What's wrong- "

" I like you too. " Maine squealed.

Ben's face lit up like a firework. He hugged Maine, laughing along with her as she hugged him back.

" Let's keep it a secret though. " Maine said softly. " Don't want Jazlyn to have a heart attack, hahaha. "

" Yeah. " Ben smiled, watching Maine's face carefully.
