(( imma make this as long as I can-  ))

'Not the best day' I thought. My first day in my new apartment building and I already fucked something up. Fuckin awesome.

I watched my target go into room 403, sucking the air through my teeth as I facepalmed.

" Those fuckin morons, leaving their posts- " I muttered, complaining about the faux guards we hired for the job. I walked into Room 403, yelling out 'Hellos?' and 'Who's in here?'s.

Sal came out of the shadows, raising his hands like he was being arrested. I raised an eyebrow, watching him stare at me with bright cerulean eyes. My cheeks flushed.

" The guards are coming back, hurry the fuck up, dude. " I heard someone say from the walkie talkie in the boys hand. I looked at it, sniffing the copper smell of blood.

" Fuckin yuck... What are you doing in here? This is off limits. It's a crime scene, kid. " I said, crossing my arms.

" I know. My curiosity got the better of me, and- " I stopped him mid sentence grabbing his hand and practically dragging him out of the room. I gave a hushed laugh that I hoped he couldn't hear.

' This is my target? Hah, this will be easy as hell. '

Timeskip to Chapter. 2

I walked through the halls silently, listening to the chatter upstairs. I just smirked at Sal's obliviousness towards me. I walked into room 403, smiling at the blood on the floor.

" Come on out, Mrs. Sanderson. I can feel your presence. " I said, closing the door. I could hear a scream, and a whoosh of air ad she appeared on my dining room table.

" You. You moved into this room. Just to communicate with me, huh? " Mrs. Sanderson said, her words leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Like grape medicine.

" It was the room he assigned me, Sandy. I'm only a leader to faction 3. Now calm down, and tell me everything. " I said, sweetly smiling. I heard knocking.

" You just got caught. " She said with a smirk, and with a scream she left. I turned on the TV, and opened the door.

" That scream sounded familiar. " I heard Sal say to Todd. I raised an eyebrow.

" I'm watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre. " I lied, trying to act bored. " What's up, you guys? " I rubbed my eyes.

Sal watched me in fascination, and Todd began to explain that they had found a spirit in his bathroom.

" A ghost? What the hell, did Larry get you guys high? " I said, scrunching up my nose. I sniffed the air. " Definitely not. " I said, sighing.

" Let's go to the fifth floor, it usually has the most spirit activity. " Sal said, nodding to both of us. I watched him in amusement.

" Yeah, okay. Here take this. " I handed him a game cartridge. " I found it under the couch. "

Sal stared at it, raising an eyebrow. " I can't read the label, was it torn off? " He asked, looking up at me.

" I found it like that, dude. " I shrugged.

" Huh... Wait a second, her couch was moved ou- " He started, but I closed the door and locked it.

" Fuck, I'm stupid. " I mumbled, running a hand down my face.  I sighed, and turned off all the lights as I listened to Sal and Todd walk away, talking about the cartridge.

" Okay, I have to pack my lunch now. " I said to myself, walking over to the picture frame o  my wall. It was a nice picture of a farm!

I took it down, staring into the chute with glee. " Ah, so it is connected to my room! That makes this sooo much easier. "
