It was the week before his trial, and I was freaking the fuck out. My husband was in jail for a crime we both committed together, and I had no idea what to do.

People had come by my house, yelling curses and praying, and honestly, I was sick of people pitying me or trying to send me to hell. So, I'm doing something about it.

For the third time this month, I'm visiting my husband.

I drove up to the prison, checking in and waiting patiently for them to call me into the private room me and him were allowed.

" Mrs. Fisher? " A guard poked his head through. " He's ready to see you. "

I nodded, walking in as the guards walked out, leaving only one to guard the doors. I sat down in front of Sal, watching him stare down.

He took off his mask, placing it down into the counter gently and bolding my hands. " I'm sorry. "

" Didn't I tell you not to apologize everytime I come over you doof? " I said, smiling. " I love you, Sal. "

" I love you too, Y/N. Why are you here? "

" Because, Sal, I'm your wife, the bearer of your kids, and your only alibi. " I replied with a soft tone, kissing his hands.

" But you should've come. How's Larry? Oh, how is he, he is doing alright, right? " Sal shot questions out like a bullet, gripping my hands tighter.

" Woah, calm down Sally Face. " I said, laughing. " Larry's fine. Looks dead, but he said he's doing fine. He's just sad you ended up in jail. "

I looked over at the guard, who had dozed off.

" I should've been here with you, Sal. " I whispered. " I killed those people too, Sal. I stabbed them with those scissors, I should be here with you. "

" What the hell are you talking about?! " Sal said with furrowed eyebrows. " It's hell in here. It's heavy with depression and guilt, and they make fun of me for not being able to eat...that. " Sal said with a shiver.

I grilled his hands tighter. " We all promised to never speak of that day. Sal, we never talk about it, don't even think about it. " I said in a hushed tone. " I still have recurring nightmares. "

" I know, I'm sorry. " Sal said softly. " But, you can't help me, Angel. I'm sorry. "

" Times up, you two. " The guard said, waking up to his timer. He looked at me. " I'm sorry, Mrs. Fisher. I understand how this must pain you. "

" No, wait, give us more time- "

" Out, Mrs. Fisher! "

" No- " I yelled, as security came in and started to force me out. Sal went into a panic, struggling to get to me as well.

" Sal, I'm your only alibi! Sal, I'm your alibi, please Sal, please! "

" Y/N! Let me go, I need to- Angel, I'll wait for you, Angel! "

" I love you Sal! I love you! "

" I love you too! "
