Dammit, J-Hope.

Why was she thinking that? She should be thanking him. Namjoon had taken off his mask and it was like the temperature had climbed to an all new high. The van had been intimate and restless too. It had taken all her will power to keep looking out the window and not at him.

His long legs had spread slightly as he leaned back in his seat, his hands clasped in front of him with those long fingers intertwined with one another. Y/N could imagine the way his eyes might narrow in a slightly darkening way if she were to be sitting in front of him. The way a smile might slowly spread across his face. Thinking of it gave her tingling shivers.

And what was it about his hands? The rings on his fingers always teased her, making her wonder if they would feel warm on her skin or cool in contrast to his touch. When she was around him it was usually so comfortable and while it was exciting it didn't make her feel like this.

This was a different restlessness. There was a deeper heat to it. She could feel her face flush a bit, that electricity hovering just above her skin making her want to do- Something! Anything!

Ah... What was she thinking? What dangerous thoughts... She usually had no probably pushing such ridiculous daydreams to the side, but it seemed that ride in the van had changed things. Like she could no longer ignore the natural charisma that he exuded. He exuded it even when he was just sitting in a freakin' car. Someone save her. Please. She obviously couldn't control her hormones.

Giving the most cheerfully loud and animated member of Bangtan a smile, Y/N stood up still a bit red-faced and held out her hand. After she wiped the hand on her pants first of course. It would be kinda gross to shake hands with someone while sweating.

Because Namjoon seemed to suddenly be able to make her sweat with just a teasing tone and a very unmasked smile. She believed the dimples were at fault for her sudden jello-ness.

"Woooow! You really made her red, Joonie!" Hoseok almost cackled but winked to show he meant no harm. He separated himself from Namjoon, who simply sighed. "Hi! You must be the new live-in helper we heard about just a couple hours ago!"

The animated guy gave Namjoon a smirking side-eye as he shook her hand, "You call me Hobi or J-Hope. Either is fine! Full names are so stuffy."

"Uuuh, sure," She couldn't help but glance at Namjoon who was now suddenly very interested in the door, "My name is Y/N. Nice to meet you." He better not bolt. He had some explanin' to do. What did J-Hope mean they had only heard about the position a couple hours ago?

Before she could talk to Namjoon about that, a few other boys filed into the small room. It suddenly felt very small and very crowded with every eye on her.

"Y/N huh?" The short sharp-eyed guy with a gravely voice huffed. He looked her up and down before scoffing and looking away with his hands in his pockets.

"Yoongi be nice," a tall broad-shouldered and smiling model-esque guy smiled apologetically, "He doesn't mean to sound harsh. It just comes out that way sometimes. Call me Jin. Everyone else does." He placed a hand on Yoongi's shoulder, still smiling apologetically.

Jin, the 'mom' of the group. Yes, she rememberd him. And Yoongi was Suga, the fourth faster rapper in Korea. He really had that 'cool bad boy' aura after all. Oddly enough she found them both a bit intimidating. Maybe it was the small room was now being packed with famous people?

"Who's acting all princely all of a sudden, hyung?" A cheeky guy with bright eyes grinned, leaning on Jin, "Hi hi Y/N! I'm Jungkook! Don't let Jin flirt with you too much. He's an untrustworthy guy~"

"Who you calling untrustworthy?" A deep sultry voice came from a hoodie-wearing guy leaning against the door, "You're just as bad, if not worse, Kookie."

"Ah, Tae! Don't give Y/N the wrong impression~!" Jungkook whined playfully and finished with a sparkling grin, making the soft-spoken Tae smirk a bit.

He was the youngest so he seemed to get away with talking cheekily to the others. No doubt that grin of his would get him into all the right kind of trouble when he got older though. They were a quirky duo, but with all these ridiculous famous people surrounding her, she suddenly felt very inadequate and quite rightly put back in her place.

Who was she to think of Namjoon in such a shameless way? He was the sun and she was just an ant... No matter her feelings... She was probably making all this up in her head anyway.

"Brat," he huffed at the youngest before waving to her, "Nice to meet you. Just call me V since it is easier." This one seemed calm and collected. Or sleepy. It was hard to tell.

He had a soothing kind of voice though. He'd be great at ASMR. And she bet all the girls swooned over those eyes. Like the sleepy sexy character from an otome game you could catch sleeping outside in the sun.

"So cold Taaaae!" The impish Jungkook chided prancing over to the hoodied boy and threw an arm around the other's, hugging it, "You can call him Tae too Y/N! He is just shy when talking to girls!"

"Jungkook, don't be presumptuous," sharp-toned Yoongi scolded, "She should call us all by our stage names. It's the right thing to do." Now is when Hobi seemed to hug the cold and rather stiff Yoongi. It just made Yoongi's face change into a slight expression of 'seriously?' which to be honest was kind of funny. He even rolled his eyes a bit.

"Oh Suuuuga!" He moaned playfully, "That's what you like to hear right? SUUUUGAAAAH!" Yoongi pushed him away, though the tips of his ears had turned red and he refused to meet her eyes. Guess the cool bad boy was just shy too. It made sense since these guys didn't get to interact with a girl their age for a long period of time.

"Oh shut it, Hobi," He grumped before sulking off with a bouncing J-Hope practically attached to his hip. Jungkook apparently found this hilarious and tagged quickly after. Tae lifted two fingers as if to say farewell before following suit. Jin smiled sheepishly and hesitated.

"They mean well," he chuckled softly, almost shyly, "Let me know what you like to eat after you settle in. I'm already starting tonight's dinner, but it will be nice to have some help next time now that you're here. They can be like a bunch of little kids." Namjoon scoffed then, making both Jin and Y/N look at him. His face was a bit red but he smiled in a pained way.

"You can be just as much of a kid as the rest of us, cool guy," he murmured, oddly moody, "I'll help Y/N unpack and we will meet you in the kitchen later." Jin just sort of chuckled to himself and shrugged.

"Sure thing," he looked to her and gave her a movie star smile, "Welcome to our island, Y/N."

A bit overwhelmed she just smiled and raised an awkward hand in farewell, before looking at Namjoon. He closed the door after Jin and ran a hand through his hair before rubbing his face a bit. She got the sense that he didn't often get moody with his friends.

"Well then. That was...interesting," Y/N managed, "They...didn't know I was going to work here till today? I thought you had been looking for someone for a while." He leaned against the wall and crossed his arms over his wide chest, handsome face still a bit flushed. He was looking down at the floor, avoiding her gaze.

"I may have...recently needed someone to fill that position," he said slowly before looking up at her. And it was not the shy and anxiously apologetic look she had been expecting. It was a gaze that sent a warm shiver over her skin. That electric charge that had been between them in the car was back with a vengeance. It wrapped around her like silk and slipped over her skin, making her blush.

"I need you close," his husky voice said softly.
