The next day, Kate and I were at the library searching for more girls that have green eyes.

Our town's library collected all the yearbooks from my high school since its such a small town. The only girl that has green eyes that bothers me is Rose.

"Zoe?" Kate called out. "Yea?" I replied. "Are you mad at me?" She shyly asked.

"No, it's just I've been thinking. You don't think Rose would stoop so low to harm me do you?" I questioned.
"I don't know. People are unpredictable but maybe. Do you think it's her?" She asked.

"Well she's the only green-eyed girl that has motives to frame me for a crime. Plus the girl in the video was wearing a wig so it could be her," I confessed.

"I think we need a break. I'll be right back, I'll buy us some hot chocolate," Kate said as she got up to leave.

As I watch Kate walked out the door I saw Mrs. Huffman come in. She wasn't wearing her uniform which involve a bullet-proof vest. Her blonde hair was tied up in a bun, and she was wearing a long light brown jacket with brown furry boots.
She looked over to where I was sitting and started walking towards me.

She sat at the seat in front of me and I didn't notice she was carrying a book with her until she put it on the table.
"Good day to you Ms. Belladonna. What brings you to the library? I know teenagers these days usually avoid reading books," said Mrs. Huffman.

"I just prefer to be somewhere warm since its winter season," I replied bluntly, "Umm Mrs. Huffman, what book are you reading?"

She looked down at the book and smiled, "This book is about a man who has different personalities. There's a good and bad side to him only his love ones seem to only know but eventually he finds a cure to his illness through love."

"So you've finished it already?" I asked her. She nodded. "Why do you take an interest on that type of stories?" I tried asking without being suspicious.

"You see my daughter suffers from the same illness and we're working on a way to help cure her. She's my sweet angel but sadly I don't get to see her very much," she sadly said.

"Is she at a mental hospital right now?" I was curious. "She's-"
She was cut off by Kate arriving but her arrival wasn't the reason why Mrs. Huffman and I stared at her. Kate looked at the female detective like the way you look at your mother when your angry at her.

"Hello Mrs. Hamore, it's nice to see you also," greeted Mrs. Huffman.
"Why are you talking to Zoey? Are blaming her again?" interrogated Kate.

"Kate, relax we were just having a conversation. There's nothing to be worried about," I said as I tried to pull Kate to her seat. "Just sit down and quit standing."

"It's ok, I'll take my leave now. It was nice seeing you girls, be safe," Mrs. Huffman excused herself.

As soon as the detective was out of sight I look at Kate and gave her a "what was that for" look.

I would think Kate could be her daughter with that way she looked at her. That would be impossible since physically they don't even look a-like.

"She annoys me. I was worried she was bothering you again. Anyways here's your hot chocolate and Davon will be coming soon. As soon as he arrives I have to leave since I'll be having an interview with one of the coaches at Stanford University," she said trying to change the subject.
