I kinda changed it up a bit because it wasn't listening again but anyway

The breeze is cool against your skin. You feel like you're standing on the edge of the Earth. You might as well be; nothing matters from this point on. You look down the cliff and let out a breath. Your tears blur your vision. You don't know why you keep doing this. You just want it all to be over. You close your eyes; a tear rolls down your cheek.

You let yourself fall forward. You feel that same thrill you feel when you're going down rapidly on a rollercoaster. And the moment you're supposed to go fucking splat, you jerk awake.

You're breathing heavily, your body drenched in a cold sweat.

"Fuck," you breathe.

"They say I'm stupid for saving you," a voice says. You look toward the corner of the room where you always see that bright light after dreams like this. Only this time, there's no bright light. There's a woman there. Her long brown hair is done in a messy braid down her shoulder, and she's wearing a loose silver/white dress.

"Who are you?" you whisper, unable to move. She brushes a stray strand of hair off her face as she moves closer. Her movements are smooth, as if she were a ghost. There's a strange paleness on her skin.

"I'm your soulmate," she responds, her eyes lingering on your face. It's as if she can't see anything except for you.

"My soulmate?" you repeat.

"I want you to stop trying to make the same mistake I made," she says, reaching forward. You feel yourself reach toward her, and your fingertips touch hers. Her skin is cold, but you barely even notice. Your palm meets hers, and your fingers intertwine as if they were made to fit together. She squeezes your hand slightly, making your heart beat faster.

"What mistake?" you ask, your eyes locked on your intertwined hands.

"Don't end your life," she says, and you look to her face. Her brown eyes are filled with sadness. "This is the last time I'm going to save you," she says. "It's up to you after this."

She steps back, but you reach for her. "Wait!" But you grab for thin air. She's no longer here. "No!" You lurch out of bed, but in your desperation, you fall to the ground. You let out a shriek of surprise, but you force yourself to your feet quickly. You look around the room. She's not here anymore.

Were you dreaming? Were you hallucinating? But you know you weren't. You saw her here. You heard her voice. You felt her skin against yours. She was real, and you know it.

You look down at your hand, as if it holds all the answers. It still feels slightly cold from her touch.

A part of you wonders what would happen if you died now. Could you be with her? But something within you says that wouldn't work. You don't know if it's your intuition or if she's in your mind, but there's something telling you no. And you trust it.

The following night, for the first time, you don't jump off the cliff. You turn around, leaving it behind you. And you see her. You see her in the distance. You can't see her face, but you know it's her. And you can't see the expression on her face, but you know she's smiling.

And you know now: you did the right thing.

And you keep doing the right thing night after night until you stop having that dream. And for the first time in your life, you feel like things might actually be okay.
