As soon as Hilal entered her house, she saw her grandmother sitting in the dining room with a sullen face. Hilal's heart trembled fearing something bad might have happened. She tiptoed inside and went near her grandma. Her grandma did not look at her and this made Hilal even more anxious.

'Grandma?' Hilal called nervously. She felt nervous as because grandma is never this stiff unless something too bad happens. 'Grandma?' Hilal called again. Then she looked back. 'What happened? Why are you so quiet? Is everything okay? please say something' Hilal was about to cry. Guilt of being late plus the cold look on grandma's face was shattering her from the inside. 'Yildiz has worsened. Her condition was too vulnerable in the evening. Your mother and I were too frightened and we couldn't think of anything. Your father is not here now as well. Azize tried to call you over hundred times but you were not picking up. Blood was coming out of Yildiz's mouth and Azize was alone to handle this situation. She went blank and nervous', grandma explained the horrific situation that went through them that evening.  'She hurriedly called Dr. Zuhair and he made the bleeding stop somehow'. Hilal was shocked and was trembling imagining the entire situation. She felt very very guilty as if the entire situation was her fault. At the same time, she felt extremely annoyed at Mrs. Aka who had selected her for the photo shoot. Tears rolled down on her cheeks and she felt afraid thinking about Yildiz. 'Grand...maa? where's Yildiz now?' Hilal couldn't hold her tears any longer. 'She is upstairs. Now sleeping peacefully. The evening was a disaster. Azize is also with her' grandma replied. Hilal ran upstairs to check on Yildiz. She opened the door of her and Yildiz's bedroom and attempted to get inside. At that instance, Azize came out and pulled Hilal towards her bedroom. Hilal could understand how much pissed her mother was.

-'What is wrong with you Hilal? How many times have i told you to reach home on time? Did you know your sister was about to die today? You know her condition is too vulnerable and we can't afford to keep her out of sight for even a moment. Thank god i did not leave for the hospital in the afternoon. otherwise what would have happened to my child i can't think' Azize was very anxious. Hilal felt terrible and her tears were unable to stop. She could not think of anything to defend herself as there was nothing to define. 'Anne I'm sorry. I really am. My phone died and I could not understand i'll be this late. Otherwise... i.. wo..uld not have gone... for the shoot' Hilal was sobbing so much that she could not speak properly. Seeing her tears, Azize pulled her towards her and hugged her tight. Tears rolled down her cheeks too. 'No it's not your fault, my baby. You did not know that this crisis would come across. You do a lot for Yildiz and we all appreciate it so much. We are all so proud of you. i was just...just afraid because she was so vulnerable today. I should not have behaved like this with you. You are my little girl and i know you were not at fault,' Azize calmed Hilal down and wiped her tears. Then they went to the room where Yildiz was sleeping. They sat near her and Hilal held one of her hands. How many days have passed since they fought with each other! How many days have passed since they have taunted and loved each other! How many days!

Yildiz has been in the state of coma (deep unconsciousness) for two years. Two years back, she was travelling to Yizmir with two of her friends on a vacation. Suddenly their car was hit by a bus. The car went tumbling killing both of her friends and injuring herself severely. Her family rushed to the accident spot as soon as they heard of it but found her unconscious. She was on the verge of death and there was little hope. The news of her getting in to a coma relieved her family a bit who was fearing of losing her forever. Doctors released Yildiz from the hospital after two months and advised her family to keep her at home rather than the hospital. From then on, Hilal, their parents and grandma have indulged in taking care of Yildiz day and night. They have not lost hope for even a single minute. They know Allah will not be so hard with them by taking her away. Without any complaints, they have been taking care of her and not for a moment have they left her side. Hilal stays with Yildiz the maximum times as they share the same bedroom. She only attends her classes at university and rush home before afternoon as Azize leaves for nursing to the hospital. Hilal shares everything that happens to Yildiz as if she's hearing her. Hilal feels at peace even though Yildiz does not respond. After Azizie returns home at night, the family sits near Yildiz and talks among themselves about their days and lives. They chatter and laugh and pretend as if Yildiz is talking and responding to their conversations. They all feel good and united. They pray for her speedy recovery with fear in their hearts but hopes twinkling in their teary eyes. Whatever happens, hope never dies. Never will.
