'Hilal... what's.. going on?' Leon was stammering. 'Let's go we will go for a long drive now, get ready,' he did not know what he was telling. He did not want to understand what was going on. He feared if he understood everything, he would lose Hilal forever. He was talking insane and like a child. 'Hilal what are you wearing? You look really pretty in red. But you will be too over-dressed for a late night drive,' he continued his insane talks. 'Leon', Hilal intruded as tears fell from her heavily shadowed eyes. 'Your parents? Permission from your parents, right? No problem, ma'am i will personally ask for it,' Leon was laughing. 'Let's go. What are you waiting for? We'll go somewhere far away from all these chaos and commotions where no one will get us, we'll go whooossshhh', Leon was laughing and moving his hands continuously to act out everything that he was saying. He wanted to make things realistic as if nothing was happening. He wanted to calm his restless mind and make things normal like the other days of the week. He wanted to take Hilal away from that place as if that would be the ultimate solution. 'Leon, I can't go anywhere with you', Hilal's heart was breaking to pieces. 'I already said i'll take the permission from your parents and everything will be fine..' 'Nothing will be fine, Leon nothing. I'm getting MARRIED, Leon,' screamed Hilal and burst into heavy tears. Her words came as a blow and seemed to bring him back to reality. Still Hilal's Greek prince laughed. 'You're joking', Leon told those words smiling with tears accumulated at the corner of his dreamy eyes. 'No, I'm not. I'm getting married to the man who would keep me happy. He is the richest man of Turkey. I'm getting married to the man i chose. I'm very happy and you also should be,' Hilal showed that she was strict and happy but failed every time. 'You go home Leon..or... if you wish to see my...marriage, stay till 6 pm,' Hilal could not tolerate any longer. She would die instantly there she thought. It was getting impossible to carry on with this drama with her love. Her actions were all like refusals to him. Leon was shaking. His tears were uncontrollable. He couldn't believe the girl he loved was getting married to someone else and he had nothing to do. He stepped back and got hit by the wardrobe as he was not in his senses. Hilal turned her face away from him and stared at the scenery visible from the window. It seemed as if the entire evening had fallen on her rosy face and she glowed. She did not want to face Leon any longer as she had nothing to say. She has lost entirely and there was no recovery. There was no going back. She was frozen inside out. Everything was for her dying sister and it would be till the end. Leon turned towards the door tumbling as his footsteps were not on position. His whole body was shaking and he was feeling a bad fever. His heart ached and the pain was too unfamiliar. He never felt like this before. He stopped for a moment and turned back to his Hilal. 'Do you know what i had wished upon the falling star?,' Leon asked. Hilal slightly moved her head. 'I wished that you get everything you ever want in life, Hilal', Leon's voice trembled as he unfolded his secret. Hilal closed her eyes but her tears were not the ones that could be stopped. Indeed Leon's wish came true. She got what she wanted. She wanted to marry Mehmet and she was marrying him. Revealing his wish, he unlatched the door and went rushing outside. The flower bouquet laid on the floor.Leon walked past all the guests without realizing whom he was colliding with. He walked like a maniac and rushed towards his car. He sat inside and no, he couldn't hold himself any longer. He burst out in tears, crying like a 5 year old. Tears went sliding down his fair cheeks and all he could think of was, he was late. He has lost the most precious thing of his life. He has lost his Hilal, the girl for whom he could die for. She was marrying someone else and that was what she wanted. He drove out of the area of her house and started driving recklessly. He had nowhere to go. There was no long drive. There was no Hilal. There was no love. The letter still remained in his pocket.
Back at the house, the groom had already arrived. It was exactly 6 pm when the marriage took place. Hilal was stiff and had nothing to say. Mehmet was happy and shy. Everyone was happy. The parents embraced each other in appreciation. Hilal looked up, straight. All she could see was Leon walking towards him with the purest smile anyone would desire to see and with a bunch of red roses. He was wearing a black jacket with his hair flipped across, his mustache was kingly, and his aura was the most charming one. The image went hazy as her eyes filled with tears of love and loss. Her trance broke when her mom came to hug and congratulate her. Not a moment longer she could hold herself. She hugged her mom tight as tears slid down and lips shook. Hilal was numb which she then would always be for her entire life. She had nothing left inside.
At exactly 6 pm, Leon was looking at his watch, his car parked near a forestry area and he sitting against a tree. The watch sensed a drop of tears. Leon looked up. He had nothing to ask for, nothing to desire, nothing to share, nothing to think, nothing further to lose. The heartbroken man stared at the infinite night sky. The sky has no limit. Just like his love for Hilal.
"She was a hollow shell.
Into an endless oblivion she fell.
Pitch black and nearly brain dead.
There was nothing in her life ahead.
Eyes opened,
Tears flowed,
Standing in front of a mirror,
Watching as she wholly became hollow."
