*2 years later*

michael and his group of friends, had decided that they wanted to actually graduate and get a good education for the remaining time they were in school. they were over the parties, getting drunk/high, and having sex with stupid girls all the time. they were all clean from smoking and drinking since the beginning of the new year. and since then, they went to school every single day, actually did their homework, and tried their best not to get too bored to the point they wanted to ditch. but they didn't stop wearing their regular ripped jeans, and a band t-shirt attire.

with all the boys helping each other, they all has completed all their school work, projects, and get a grade above a D- on their test. and they earned enough credit to graduate and walk with their class.

and they all did graduate, which was all an accomplishment for them. michael and luke had enrolled into a community college, while ashton and calum really weren't sure what they wanted to do. luke and michael were both major in music study, and were really enjoying it. he had found a place of his own, and was working at a local music shop. both went to a few parties, but never got completely shit faced drunk.

michael had even gotten a girlfriend. he had eventually gotten over miranda and how he'd probably never see her again.michael had met her in his music class, and they really hit it off. he was really happy with his new girlfriend, she also had helped calum get with her friend.

michael and his girlfriend, ellie, were at the coffee shop around the corner from their college. they always went there after class to study, do homework, or just chill after class. they were sitting at a table in the far corner waiting for their coffee.

"here are your hot chocolates." one of the girls said, placing their cups in front of them. ellie thanked her before opening up her book. michael looked at her, and could've sworn that girl's voice was miranda's. but when he looked up, it wasn't her. this girl didn't have miranda's long, wavy blonde hair, piercing green eyes, or amazing smile. instead she had short black hair, ocean blue eyes, and he didn't see her smile.

"are you okay, babe?" ellie asked. michael blinked a few times before nodded his head. he just grabbed his book out of his backpack and studying for an up coming test.

later that night, after he'd dropped ellie off at her house (they were only dating a few months, so they weren't thinking about moving in together, just yet), he went home and warmed up left over pizza. he grabbed the plate out of the microwave, and turned on the t.v. and started watching Dexter. after about two more slices, he decided to go and get ready for bed. he stripped out of his jeans and flannel (some things never change), and put on a pair of basketball shorts and brushed his teeth.

michael was laying down on his bed, staring at the ceiling. and was thinking about miranda. he hasn't though about her since the day she had came to his doorstep asking for help, which was like two years ago. michael was now realizing that he'd never see her again, never know whether or not she was getting better, or where she was. he was just know realizing that, and he was okay with it all.
