Luke Hemmings #2 || Englisch

You and your boyfriend luke were sitting on your couch cuddling. You looked up to him and saw his bright blue eyes staring down at you. Your cheeks went red and you looked away. Luke chuckled and brushed his hand through your hair. You leaned more into him and closed your eyes.

Memories flooded through your head like when you broke up with luke for a short time.

The pain he had in his eyes as you stood right in front of hin with make up running down your face and how he drove by all the places you used to hang out getting wasted. How he always texted you in the middle of the night about your last kiss.

You shook your head at the sad thoughts and cuddled into his side.

"Are you okay?" You looked up to your boyfriend and smiled nodding. He snaked his arms around you tighter and laid his head on top of yours.

"Luke, I love you.." you whispered when he slowly kissed your hair. You felt yourself drifting into a deep slumber when you felt a slight vibration. You looked around and saw lukes phone lighting up. You handed it to him and he read the message about 3 times.

"it's cal.." he was about to put his phone back onto the couch table when you took it and read the message as well.

"Why don't you pick him up? He seems like he's a bit drunk.." luke stared at you for a few seconds as if he wanted to say 'please don't do this to me.' But you shook the thought out of your head.

"Are you sure?" You nodded at him and he stood up to take his car keys. Before he left he kissed your forehead and whispered a soft 'I love you'.

You leaned back against the couch and closed your eyes. You remembered a letter luke wrote you once. Your naked feet tapped against the floor as you approached your and Luke's shared bedroom. Before you went in you switched the light to the bathroom on that was connected to the bedroom. You pulled out a small bag and zipped it open to reveal a letter. It still smelled like Luke's cologne, even after 2 years. You sat down and unfolded the white paper. Immediately you smiled at Luke's handwriting. Your look skimmed over the lines as a tear formed in your eye.

"Hey princess,
I know you don't want me to call you that right now but I can't change it.
You are my princess.
I realized what I did wrong and i'm so sorry.
I love you.

Something inside of me screams at me because I know everything I did was wrong and I wish that I could wake up with  amnesia and forget about the stupid little things.
If you really don't want to be mine anymore I'll accept it.
But when he says those words that hurt you do you read the one's I wrote you?
Maybe he's even better than me.
You just deserve the best.

The tear fell to the ground and you smiled.

You just smiled. He was yours and that was all that mattered.

Suddenly you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket. You pulled it out and saw that liz was calling. Confusion washed over you.

She never called you except when something happened.

You answered and immediately heard a small sob through the phone.

"Liz?" Your voice was shaking and you bit your lip.

"Sweetheart! Luke's in the hospital!  He was in an accident and he wants to see you." You hung up and started running downstairs. You grabbed your car key and drove to the hospital.

Thousands of questions ran through your head and you couldn't think straight.

Was he okay?

What happened?

Did someone else get hurt?

But most important will he live?

Tears began to well up in your eyes as you arrived at the building. You ran right into a nurse who brought you to Luke's room. Before you entered the room you took a deep breath and opened the door.

The first thing you saw was liz sitting next to a bed and holding a hand that looked pale and weak. She turned around and motioned you to come closer. When you stood next to the bed you could see him.

Luke was pale and his eyes were closed. Tubes were everywhere around him and bandages were around his head and his left leg. Tears ran down your face freely now. You took his cold hand and saw how his eyes opened a bit.

"Hey princess.." his voice was barely a whisper. The letter came back into your mind where he also called you his princess. His face turns from a slight smile to pure pain. You sobbed as he tried to hold his head. The heart monitor next to him began to pick up speed. You ran out of the room and called for help which came immediately. They gave luke a something against the pain and he fell asleep. You stayed at his side the whole night and never let his hand go. You laid your head onto his bed and closed your eyes.

"I love you, Luke." You whispered before you fell asleep.

You woke up when you heard screams and someone yelling Luke's name over and over again. Your eyes shot open and all around you were doctors and nurses. In the corner behind you stood liz and you saw tears dripping down her face.

"Miss, you have to move away.." a woman said with a smile. You slowly stood up and walked over to liz. She hugged you tight and you still didn't knkw what was going on.

"He'll be okay, I promise!" Then you realized it. You were still in the hospital and luke was about to die. You rushed around and saw him laying in his bed.

He didn't move. He didn't breathe.

A scream escaped your lips and you ran over to him. Nurses tried to push you off of him but you just saw a straight line that should usually show his heartbeat. You felt yourself falling to the ground when liz pulled you in for another hug. Then you noticed the tears that were running down your face.

"He knew it.." you whispered to yourself before everything went black.

You woke up with sweat dripping down your forehead.

Was everything just a dream?

You looked around but your eyes didn't adjust to the darkness yet. Slowly you turned to your side to feel Luke's warmth and just his body but he wasn't there.

He died.

He died after that accident.

Tears ran down your cheeks once again and you laid back onto the mattress. For a while you just stared at the ceiling.

"Six months since you went away.." now your eyes were tightly shut.

"And we know everything has changed.." in your heart you knew he'd hear you.

"Tell me this is just a dream!" You suddenly yelled and sat upright in bed. A sob left your lips.

"Cause I'm really not fine at all.."
