"I'm Taehyung." He smiled.

I slowly paced towards him. Staying aware of my surroundings just in case he was playing a trick. As I grew closer I felt the irritating sand pouring into my shoes. I bit my tongue so I wouldn't scream out loud because the sand was making me lose my mind.

"Do you think we can trust him?" Haerin whispered in my ear, sounding a little eerie.

"I don't know," I whispered back, "I'll feel bad if we leave him. He seems to be distressed." We reached Taehyung, Minhyuk joining us soon after.

Taehyung had sat on the sand staring up at the golden sunset. He closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, while he listened to nature's calming sounds.

"Miran, you're so confusing." Haerin sighed. I turned yo face her, giving her a confused look, signaling her to tell me the reason.

"How so?" I questioned her, waiting for the answer.

"You're so caring and generous, but if someone or something gets on your nerves you become evil" She started laughing, Minhyuk turned away, trying to stifle his laugh.

"Why are you laughing?" I turned to him, giving a deadly glare.

"What..." He playfully scoffed, "I'm...I'm not laughing." I raised my eyebrow up at him and gave him a slight grin.

"Minhyuk, why is it so funny?" I crossed my arms.

"Well it's just that, it's kind of true," He tried to sound innocent, "but I'm not the one who said it. Haerin is." Haerin
scoffed at his answer.

"Yeah right," She said clenched her jaw, "you said that she was like that a long time ago, so don't try to act innocent."

I was about to answer until a deep melodic voice interrupted me, "I'm sorry to interrupt, but could we maybe get going, it's starting to get late?"

"Oh yeah, we should probably go, we need to give the results we have back to Ms. Lee. We also need to find somewhere for Taehyung to stay." I agreed, while getting a few more things that were left and putting them in the boat.

"I call driving!" Minhyuk started to run past us and eagerly climbed into the boat.

"Oh please!" Haerin started to laugh, "You could barely even stay conscious on the way here."

"I'm better now." He argued, "I can do it." I hopped onto the boat and sat down on the hot, cushioned seat.

"I think it's best to let Haerin drive again. Maybe next time though." I consoled him, even Taehyung nodded in agreement, clearly understanding that Minhyuk was not the perfect fit.

Minhyuk pouted and gave a big huff of annoyance and flopped down on the seat. Taehyung sat down by Minhyuk, giving him a judging look.

"She said you could do it next time. Don't get upset." He comforted Minhyuk and patted his shoulder. Minhyuk nodded, changing his position so he could sit up straight. I handed him a blanket so he could cover up because his close we're not only worn out but they also weren't something that you would wear in this century.

Haerin obtained the key and settled it inside the ignition, rotating it so the boat revved to life once again. The boat jerked forward and Taehyung gripped to the side, holding on for dear life.

"What's wrong?" I asked concerned, "Haven't you ever been on a boat before?" Taehyung pivoted towards me, now facing me, slight worry and fear in his eyes.

"Of course I have," He said, his voice quivered, "but, you know 500 years ago they weren't like this. We had to paddle to move, now it moves by itself."
