"It's Alive!" We all shrieked.

I suddenly felt myself tumbling backwards harshly. My spine felt like it was on fire and my lungs felt like they were completely closing in any way for me to breath. I was groaning in pain, I looked over to my right to see Minhyuk and Haerin in the same state. My vision was hazy so I couldn't make out anything except the two people beside me. I looked I up towards the ceiling, squinting my eyes because I swore I saw something hovering above me. I tried making it out but finally after thirty seconds I met the gaze of someone; the body in the wall.

My eyes grew wider where it was at the point where I thought my eyes would shoot out of my head. My brain was feeling scattered, trying to process the bizarre situation that was happening. I sat up backing into the hard wall behind, I looked over at Haerin and Minhyuk but they were still lying on the ground, but they were very aware of the situation we were in. The man's eyes followed my every move as I kept fidgeting out of nervousness. He had a curious and confused gaze as he was scanning my every move.

"What happened?" I shifted at the man's deep voice. "Did we win the battle? Who are you guys?"

"What battle are you talking about? How are you even alive? Who are you?" My throat was dry and scratchy

He looked at me like I was crazy. He had dark eyes that seemed like they could see through your soul. "What do you mean what battle. The battle against the Yaoguai and Moguai." He asked with a confused tone.

"The what?" Haerin's voice appeared abruptly. She was now sitting up along with Minhyuk, who looked terrified.

"We really don't know what battle you're talking about, we don't even know what a Yaoguai or Moguai is." I answered truthfully. "Although, I did read something about that in this children's book." I showed him the worn down book.

"What?" His voice sounded worried, "I don't understand, what year is this?"

"It's 2018, why?" I asked, "how long were you in there?" I looked up at him curiously.

"Uh, I-I don't know... about 500 years I think." My curious expression quickly turned into a shocked one.

"500 years?" Minhyuk chocked, "How are you still alive, I mean you didn't just come out of a wall, but your over 500 years old!"

"I don't know how I'm still alive, I don't remember exactly what happened, all I know is that there was a battle and..." He drifted off, "my friends, where are they? What happened to them?"

"Sir, I'm sorry but we don't know anything. We're just here because we were trying to find any old artifacts, we're just archaeologists, I'm sorry." Haerin voice was quiet but concerning.

"I need to get out of here and find my friends. They'll know what to do, I'm sure of it" He started to walk towards the big opening.

"Wait!" I quickly stood up, following close behind him, "I'm sorry to say this, but you're friends are probably dead. I know that's hard to here, but you shouldn't even be alive, I don't even know how you're still alive."

He turned around, facing me, looking me directly in the eyes. "I know they're alive, they're immortal like me. I'm going to find them." His voice stern

I sighed, "immortal? Seriously, you must be the one who wrote that book. You have a rapid imagination for an adult."

"Everything that books says is the truth, it's not fake." He said sounding kind of irritated.

"Whatever you say." I said, rolling my eyes. I looked back and saw Minhyuk and Haerin with amused faces. I looked back at the man and saw him walking out of the cave.

"Hey, sir. What are you doing, didn't you listen to a single word I said" I started to get annoyed, I tightened my jaw.

"I did" He replied, still walking farther away, "but that doesn't mean I'm listening to anything that you say"

I started to speed up my pace, he was much faster, I mean he did have longer legs than me. "Why won't you listen to me sir? I'm just trying to help." I was trying to catch my breath, he was really fast.

"I don't need help right now, and besides what you say is not the truth" He answered through clinched teeth, speeding up even more.

Why did I agree to come? I thought, I could've of  avoided this. I groaned. When I looked back up at him he was no where to be seen. "Hey. Where are you are you at?" I yelled, I was about to explode, he was making me so upset.

I kept searching for him until I finally saw him on the beach. "What are you doing, I was looking all over for you" I huffed.

"Miran!" I heard someone yell.

"Over here Haerin." I was still staring him down.

"Oh, there you are" Haerin walked towards me with a slight smile. She turned and started glaring at the man too.

"How do you think you're going to get all the way to the city?" I scoffed

"Well I would normally fly there but it seems like I can't at the moment, so I guess I'll just swim there" He confidently said.

"You're joking right" I raised my eyebrow. "how would you swim that far without getting tired?"

"It's not hard. I'm not like you humans I'm different than you." He clarified, while walking towards the water.

"Right..." Haerin said sarcastically, "because you're a Yaoguai or whatever."

"Exactly" He replied to her, stepping into the salty water.

"Are you really going to swim all the way to the city without getting tired and drowning?" I asked him, unamused.

He nodded his head, "Yes I really am. Wasn't there another person with you?" He gave a little grin.

"He went on a walk." Haerin's voice sounded exhausted.

After a while of bickering and trying to convince the guy to not swim that far, Minhyuk finally showed up.

"Hey guys. What did I miss?" Minhyuk had a big smile on his face.

"Oh nothing much. Just that this guy wants to swim all the way to the city without stopping" I told him lazily.

"What? Really? Dude, you'll drown." Minhyuk faced the man.

"We tried telling him that, but he won't listen" Haerin sat down stretching her body on the warm, soft sand.

"Well if we're done talking now, I would like to go and find my friends if you don't mind" The man interrupted.

"Hold on" I stopped him, "why don't we make a deal? How about you stay with us, we'll help you find your friends and help you adapt to this century, that is if you are telling the truth about being in that stone for 500 years"

He stopped from walking further into the water. "So if I stay with you you'll help me?"

"Yes" I said calmly.

"Fine, I'll stay with you guys. If you don't help me though, I'll go find them myself."

I nodded my head as I started to smile at him. He stepped out of the water and started walking towards us. "Well I guess I'll introduce ourselves then" I cleared my throat, "I'm Miran. This is Haerin and Minhyuk."

    "I'm Taehyung." He smiled.
