Sixth year: part two

Sixth year was about to start. Somehow this year seemed different. Harry was usually excited to go back but last year had been so awful. He didn't expect this year to be any better.

Draco was the same. He sat in the train alone looking at his Dark mark under his sleeve. A tattoo of a snake rattled around a skull. He despised it. No matter how hard he tried it wouldn't come off. He scratched and picked at his own flesh which led to bleeding so he was forced to stop. He felt trapped and the dark mark was  evidence of it.

Draco's POV
So I'll be doing it. I'll be killing Dumbledore. How the fuck could I possibly do something  like that?

The train stopped and everyone got off. Draco stayed. He wanted to stay away from school for as long as possible because at least in the train he wasn't a killer.

Harry left the train and noticed Draco's absence So he went looking for him. After looking through every seat in the train he finally found him sitting with his eyes closed and head leaning on the wall.

"Draco you need to wake up."

He responded with his eyes still closed.

"I wasn't sleeping."

"Then What are you still doing here? The train will leave."

"I thought I told you not to talk to me."

"And now I know why."

"You don't know anything. You didn't see what you thought you saw."

"Draco What are you doing? Why would you something like this?"

Draco suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Harry with anger. This had really pissed him off.

"You don't know shit. Whatever you thought you saw forget about it. If you really think I'm a death eater then stay the fuck away from me."

Draco stood up from his seat and walked out the train.

Harry stood paralyzed.

Harry's POV
What do I do? Do I just let him walk away again? I can't do that. I can't see him walk out my life again. I've had enough. I have to do something.

Harry ran after him this time. He saw him a couple of feet from the train and ran after him.

Draco stopped and turned around seeing Harry running to him. He turned away and just kept walking

"DRACO YOU LITTLE SHIT STOP FOR GODS SAKE."

"I told you to LEAVE ME ALONE."

"I'm not leaving. I'm not leaving you alone. I'm never leaving you understand? Draco I know it's not your fault. I know your scared, but you don't have to run away from me. I'm here. And I'm always going to be here. Nothing is going to change that. I'm not going anywhere. I-I need you, more than you know."

"Don't make this harder than it should be. I'm begging you to just walk away. You don't understand."

"That you left to protect me? Do you think that I don't know that."

"It's not that simple. It's not just about you anymore. I have family that I care about. I can't let them die just because you couldn't stay away. That's s why I did all these things, to push you away. I hoped that you'd start to hate me again and just forget about me. It hurt like hell having to leave but I couldn't stay. I knew you wouldn't stay away any other way yet here you are. I'm trying to protect you and my family. So please just this once don't try to be the hero. I can't see you die and I can't be the reason you die."

"You don't have to go through with this. We'll find a way to save you and your family. You don't have to keep fearing death ever time you take a breath. Just let me help you."

Draco stood silent trying to think.

"I don't kn-"

He was cut off by someone else.

"You are not supposed to be here."

It was Snape.

"Potter Im going to ask you to leave. I'd like to have a word with Malfoy."

Harry didn't move.

"Now!"

Harry looked at Draco one last time. His face was filled with pain and fear. As much as it hurt him he knew it'd be worse for Draco if he stayed.

"What did he tell you?"

"I-I'm sorry. He approached me."

"WHAT did he tell you?"

"Nothing he didn't say anything."

"I don't ever want to see you around him you hear?"

"How bout you get off my back your not the dark lord."

Snape slammed Draco into a wall.

"I was sent here to protect you Malfoy. I've made an unforgivable vow so you listen to me now. You must do what you are told, and stay the fuck away from Potter. He's a sworn enemy of your lord. If I ever see you around him you'll be sorry. Do you understand?"

"Yes sir."
