Chapter 35

After the confusion and mix up was cleared up we all had a great time and I felt so happy that I was now part of such a big family.

"Mum, Dad I'm sorry but Dime and I have to go home now, " Joey said politely

"Oh it's all right I think it is getting late now," His Mother said

"Yes I think we all need to leave now," My father said.

We all left the Houston mansion and went back home.

Whilst having breakfast the next morning Joey said:

"Oh yeah Dime I nearly forgot to tell you but I'll be going to France for a business trip tomorrow."

"Hmm, that's fine I guess I'll be alone then hahaha," I said whilst eating the last bit of my food

"Oh? Will you miss me?" Joey said cheekily

I blushed really hard and said nothing.

Joey left the next morning. I decided to hang out with Beth because before we left the Houston mansion she asked if we could meet up.

So we met up at her house. Nick was with her and she looked extremely nervous. I waved then said.

"Hey, Sis, brother-in-law what's up?"

They looked at each other then smiled at me and Beth took my hand and said:

"Let's go inside I don't want to say this outside."

We went inside and the housekeeper gave me some tea.

I started to become more worried as we stayed in silence for a long time.

"Dime I..." My sister then burst into tears.

I wanted to comfort her but Nick was already doing it with his arms around her.

"I'm...so sorry I wish. Wish I could have not done this!" She cried at me

I was so confused. What the hell was going on and why was she apologising.

I thought everything was fine and we were cool so shy is this happening?

"Hey Beth what-" before I could finish the door slowly opened

Then before I could see who it was a little voice nervously shouted :

"M-mommy! Are you okay?"

A little girl came into plain sight and started to comfort Beth.

This little girl was comforting her? Why? Who is she? Mabey the housekeeper's child-

Before I finished my thinking Beth and Nick looked up at me and said.:

"This is our 6-year-old daughter Kelly"

My heart sank and I realised what had happened.

"Kelly had another sister who is 4 and..... I'm pregnant Dime. Again." Beth said quietly

What had happened was Beth and Nick had a child when she was 21 and when I was 16 and Nick was 21.

My heart shattered into pieces. I realised that all that time I wasted with Nick, loving him, he didn't even love me .i am probably someone who got in between their parents in their children eyes.

I stared at my hands with tears dripping down my face. I wanted to get out of here.

Now. I wanted some comfort...

Beth moved to me and calmly said :

"I understand if you can never forgive me but at least love my children. "

I took a deep breath and thought things over.

One thing I've learnt is to forgive even if this makes me feel like I've been betrayed but now I have one thing that can make me happy that no one else can have or take away from me.

Joey.

"I understand that your love is pure and you both live each other so I forgive you," I said smiling and huffing my sister.

Then I felt a tig on my skirt.

"Umm Miss can we play?" Little Kelly said with a grin

"She's not a Miss she is a Mrs and she is your aunt," Beth said whilst laughing

I spent time with Kelly and Kate, the four-year-old daughter, and I felt so happy again.

I decided to go home as I was tired and it was getting late.

I slumped down on the couch, turned on the T.V and started scrolling through the recent news.

I got a notification and I immediately tapped on it. Once I found out what the article was about I wished id never tapped it.

The headlined read:
