chapter one-The night before

Its been 5 years since I was born, so I’m currently about 16 mentally and physically. I’m so excited because my birthday is tomorrow and I can finally stop aging and just be me.

‘Nessie, are you ready for bed?’ momma asked me slowly coming into my room.

‘yes, I suppose’ I said, even though I doubt I would be able to sleep with tomorrow so close yet so far.

‘come on, into bed, big day tomorrow’ as she winked at me with a grin on her face.

‘ok, is Jake coming up to say goodnight?’ Jake is one of my very close friends, and he’s been with me ever since I was born. Recently I started to feel different about Jake, but a good kind of different. My feelings for him had grown and I loved him! I am going to tell him tomorrow at the party. He told me he had something to show me alone anyway so I figure it will be the perfect time to tell him.

‘Yes baby, Jake will come up now, night baby, love you!’

‘Okay, thanks momma, love you too!’

I lay in bed for no more than five minutes waiting for Jake to come up, and then ‘Knock Knock’ Jake said with a grin.

‘Hey Jake, have you still got to show me something tomorrow?’ I asked hoping the answer would still be a yes.

‘Yes Nessie. Anyway come on now, go to sleep because then tomorrow will come quicker’ he whispered and winked at me.

I smiled, gave him a hug and then he walked out of my room and shut the door.

I couldn’t get to sleep for a while I was too busy wondering what Alice had planned for tomorrow and what Jake was going to show me.
