Meliodas tapped his foot impatiently as he waited outside his room. Where was Zeldris? I told him I'd leave without him but... Then the door to his brother's room opened and Zeldris came out.
"What took you so long?"
"I apologize brother."
Meliodas shook his head and began walking away. "Whatever, let's just go." Zeldris jogged after him.
They flew over to a big lake. Next to it was a wide clearing, perfect for fighting. Black, almost dead, overtook the grass. Meliodas placed his sword to the side and took his gloves off. He then started stretching his shoulders out. Zeldris copied his movements, though he wasn't sure if he was supposed to.
After a good solid three minutes of stretching, Meliodas beckoned his forward. He approached him obediently.
"Alright, first off you need to show me what you know so far," Meliodas started. "How well can you fly?" Zeldris formed darkness around his arms and shot through the forest around them. He made a complete lap in 3 minutes. "Not good enough you need to be able to do it in a minute with a forest this size. Not to mention you use your arms to fly instead of separate wings." Zeldris looked down.
"Show me your hellblaze," Meliodas instructed. "Hit me with it." Zeldris looked nervously at him. "Don't worry, I'll be fine," Meliodas reassured.
Zeldris then lit Meliodas up with black flames. After a couple seconds the flames died out. There was a very minor, unnoticeable burn on Meliodas' wrist but that was all. In fact, it was probably the size of a paper cut. Meliodas shook his head in disappointment. Zeldris felt like he'd been slapped and apparently he looked like it too because Meliodas did something that surprised him.
Meliodas placed his hand on Zeldris' shoulder. "Though you did manage to burn me so... Good job."
