XX - Meeting

Meliodas wandered through the forest, looking around silently. His stomach rumbled. He wanted to eat some dragon meat but there weren't any around.

There was a rustle in a bush and he quickly readied his perhaps he could settle for some small creature. The bush continued rustling until four large wings pocked out.

"What the-?" Meliodas muttered. Elizabeth peeked out from above the bush and stared meekly into his. "What are you doing here?"

Elizabeth crawled out and brush off her shirt. "S-Sorry. I was out berry picking when I sensed a demon so I just his. I didn't mean to bother you."

Meliodas stood slightly taken aback at her manner of speech. He wasn't used to other people, aside from Gowther, treating him like a person.

"Well anyway, you should leave. You're too close to demon grounds. If you meet the wrong person then you might get yourself killed," Meliodas advised. Elizabeth tilted her head curiously.

"But you're said to worst?"

"Well first thing, rude. Second, you're a brave girl. You got some guys saying that flat out," Meliodas chuckled. Elizabeth stared transfixed. She had been told he had no heart.

"Actually before I go, may I ask a question?"

"You just did." Elizabeth pouted causing Meliodas to smirk. "No go ahead."

"With way you behaved before, it seemed you really cared for your brother. Is that typical for demons because other say you have emotions?"

Meliodas was quiet. He wasn't too sure about what others thought or did since he was usually holed up in the castle.

"You know what? Meet me at those obscure goddess ruins to the west next week and I answer your questions about demons and you answer mine about goddesses."

A big grin grew on her face and she bounced excitedly. "Awesome! I meet you there!" She then flew off quickly. Meliodas chuckled and he went in the opposite direction. Maybe he'd steal his lunch from Galand.
