Meliodas cut down another goddess. That makes all of them. Can't believe I got stripped of my free time just to clean up some weak soldier's work. Meliodas shifted his darkness into wings and flew off.

He landed in the demon realm. First thing he did was take a bath. His hair was matted with goddess blood. A maid took his outfit that he left outside to wash it. He stepped out and dried himself off.

He changed into a black coat and pants. What shall I do now? Perhaps I could pay Gowther a visit. He shrugged and walked out. He flew off to Gowther's place. When he went to knock he noticed the door was open. Gowther never left his door open. A tad concerned, he walked in. "Gowther?"

In the living room sat Gowther. His green hair was a mess and a couple bottles of ale laid on the ground. What happened here?

"Gowther?" He didn't move so Meliodas poked him slightly. No response. He then began shaking him a bit. "Gowther?"

He still didn't respond. "If you don't answer I'll mess with all your magic thing-a-bobs," Meliodas threatened. Gowther only looked up to glare at him. His eyes were red and his cheeks slightly flushed.

Meliodas sighed and sat down next to him. "What's up?"

"The Archangel Mael killed Gralisa," Gowther muttered. So his lover is dead. Meliodas sat unsure of what to do. He couldn't understand himself what it was like. So he did what he saw other people do when someone was sad. He began rubbing Gowther's back in an awkward manner.

Then a heavy shudder went through Gowther and tears fell down his cheeks. Meliodas continued rubbing his back. His felt extremely odd doing this. It felt unnatural but right at the same time. He wasn't used to people around expressing emotions.

After a while Gowther settled down. "Thank you my friend," Gowther breathed.

"Friend?"

Gowther chuckled at Meliodas' lack of understanding.

"A friend. Someone who stays by your side. Supports you. Someone you can trust. You."

"Oh- Well then... You're welcome... My friend."

I felt a strange need to write this. The manga said Gowther was one of his best friends so I was like did he comfort him? How would he do that? So here we are.
